Molly didn't even want to ask Randy how his class had gotten on the subject of how movie sequels sucked. She slightly feared the answer.
She, Sidney and Randy walked out of the building together all with similar amounts of dread. Sidney was almost hysterical about it.
"Three hundred people watched, nobody did anything. They thought it was a publicity stunt, for christ's sake." She said, walking beside Randy and Molly, who stuck close to each other's sides.
"And it would've been a good one, too." Randy replied in a stunningly good British accent.
Molly sighed and looked up at him, touching his arm. "Rand, don't."
"Its starting again." Sidney persisted.
Randy paused his walking, causing the two girls to stop as well. He kept up his accent. "Its not. A lotta shit happens at the movies. People get robbed, shot, maimed, murdered. Makes it just a very dangerous place to be these days." He started walking again.
Sidney scowled as she and Molly walked after him. "Yeah. And you are in extreme denial." She stated.
"And you should be too." Randy said insistently. "This has nothing to do with us."
Molly gave him and look and grabbed his wrist to keep him from walking too quickly "Randy! A guy in a fucking Ghostface mask murdered two people in a movie theater telling our goddamn life story!"
"Coincidence?" Randy suggested.
"Randy..."
The boy sighed and stopped walking, turning to Molly.
"You know what happened back home." Molly said quietly. "You can't ignore it."
"I know, Molls, and I don't wanna go back there again." Randy told her. He put a hand on her arm, she sighed. "Can't we just go back to our pseudo-quasi-happy existence?"
Molly stared up at him with a frown. "You, Randy Meeks, are incredibly ignorant and stubborn and I can't believe I'm dating you."
Randy gave her a look. "That last bit's your own fault." He said. Molly rolled her eyes.
The sound of footsteps caused all three friends to look up, seeing Sidney's boyfriend - Derek Feldman - walking up to them, looking a little out of breath.
"Hey, Sid," He immediately kissed her cheek. "I've been looking everywhere, I heard, you weren't in class." He put his hand on Sidney's back and started walking with her. Scowling, Molly followed after them, and of course, Randy followed her.
"Yeah, I know, I skipped." Sidney told Derek. "I couldn't take all the 'that's her' looks."
Derek sighed. "Is there anything I can do?" He asked.
"Well, you got any trick for getting me back to a pseudo-quasi-happy existence?" Sidney looked back at Randy.
Derek raised his eyebrows. "You know, I might just have one for that." He grabbed Sidney's hand and smiled down at her.
Molly gave him a look of suspicion. "Oh, yeah. And what's that?"
Derek just looked up at her before leaning down and kissing Sidney in front of them.
Molly stared at them in disgust. "Oh my God, it's horrible. I can't look away." Randy stood beside her with his own perturbed expression.
Sidney smiled at her boyfriend when they separated. "That was pretty good." Then Derek put his arm around her shoulder and pulled her away with him, leaving Molly and Randy in the dust.
