"What movies did you come up with anyways?"
"Um..." Molly glanced over at Stu as they both entered the video store, which was surprisingly jam-packed with people browsing the shelves. Molly smiled. "You'll just have to see."
Stu faked a look of disappointment. "What? No special treatment because I'm amazing and handsome and because you like me so much?"
Molly raised an eyebrow. "No. That's favoritism, Stu." She pointed at him. "We don't do that. Its hurtful."
Stu shook his head. "Of course." He looked around the store, and his eyes quickly caught sight of a familiar teenage, horror obsessed employee. Stu smirked and glanced back at Molly. "Hey, check it." He said, before leaving her side and running down an aisle.
"Stu-" Molly sighed, before throwing her hands up and and shaking her head.
Stu came up behind Randy Meeks, and stood just behind him as he fumbled with a stack of movies in his hand. Then, Stu let out a sudden mock yell and flipped the movies out of Randy's hands, causing them to land on the floor noisily. Randy didn't react much, having gotten used to Stu's random appearances and dramatic actions over the years, and instead just stared at him. Stu laughed and flipped the last remaining movie out of his hands before retreating to the other side of the shelf.
"Dork." Randy shot at him, clearly irritated. He didn't bother to lean down at pick up the fallen CDs just yet.
"Oh, Stu, you're such ass!"
Both the boys turned their heads at the sound of Molly's voice, seeing her trotting over with a frown.
Randy smiled, albeit awkwardly. "Molly, hey! Happy Birthday." He said to her.
Molly's frown turned into a smile. "Aw, thanks, Rand."
She stepped forward to give him a hug. Randy hugged Molly back, but unbeknownst to her, his face had turned red. But Stu saw it. It made him glower.
"Hey, why didn't I get a hug earlier?" He asked Molly, seeming upset.
The girl let go of and stepped away from Randy to look at Stu. "Because I see you all the time, Stu. I only get to see Randy after school." Stu just continued to give her a sour face. Molly sighed. "Don't pout, Stuart. You'll get plenty of hugs before the night's over."
Stu huffed and smirked. "Yeah, okay." He took another look around the store. "Jeez, this place is packed tonight, man."
Randy shrugged. "We had a run in the mass murder section." He stated.
"Comin' to our fiesta tonight?" Stu asked, leaning lazily against the shelf.
Randy bent down to pick up the movies the other boy had catapulted out of his hands. "Yeah, I'm off early. Curfew, y'know." He said. "Plus, Molls, invited me already." He looked over at her, and she winked, giving him finger guns.
Before either of the boys could comment on her actions, a blonde girl walked up to them, her focus set on Randy.
"What's that werewolf movie with E.T.'s mom in it?" The girl asked him.
"The Howling. Horror. Straight ahead." Randy answered immediately, pointing behind the girl.
She turned. "Okay, thanks." She walked away.
Molly watched her leave with eyebrows raised in skepticism. "I personally thought that movie was too cliche even for my liking." She muttered, and then scoffed. "The Howling. Dumb name."
"Yeah. Poor taste." Randy said simply.
Molly glanced at him, oblivious. "I know, right? Anyways, speaking of cringey horror movies, did you manage to find all the ones on my list?"
