Molly had of course gotten home late that night. She had practically crashed out as soon as her head hit the pillow. The next morning was particularly painful for her, as she was extremely tired and only wanted to sleep the whole day. But she knew her parents would kill her for skipping school, so she'd begrudgingly crawled out of bed and gotten ready, unfortunately leaving home on time to make it to school twenty minutes before the bell for first period was to ring.
But upon arriving at Woodsboro High School, Molly was left aghast.
Police cars and news reporters were scattered all along the side of the road. Walking past it all, it was quite chaotic, but Molly could only be confused. What the hell were they all there for?
"Molly!"
A familiar voice calling her name caused Molly to turn around, and she turned around to see Sidney Prescott hurrying towards her.
"Sid, hey." Molly greeted as they fell in step with each other. "Any idea what the hell's going on here?" She asked.
Sidney shook her head. "No clue. I was gonna ask you."
"Well, I'm currently about as clueless as a five year old, so you'll get no help from me."
But their question was answered as they neared a woman reporter in a bright yellow suit who was speaking while being filmed.
"The small town of Woodsboro, California was devastated last night when two young teenagers were found brutally murdered. Authorities have yet to issue a statement, but our sources tell us that no arrest has been made, and the murderer could strike again."
"Can you believe this shit?"
Both Molly and Sidney jumped and gasped when a new voice came up behind them. They spun around to see Tatum Riley standing there with wide eyes.
