It was a quiet night and had been an eventful day. Jesse was more than ready to close her eyes, letting sleep claim her body. But she couldn't. She lay still and awake in one of Romeo's spare rooms. There was too much on her mind. Who knew how long she would be beneath the bedrock? It wouldn't be long until Lukas woke up. She wondered what his reaction would be upon seeing her note. The thought of leaving without even saying goodbye made her feel extremely guilty. Especially after the past couple of days with him. She tried to ease her mind, telling herself that she would be back in no longer than a week. It wasn't much help, since the inability to close her eyes lingered.

Jesse groaned, pulling herself to her feet. She roamed the halls, where she was going was undecided. It was a pretty spacious place, large, but looked nothing like Jesse's mansion. However, his fortress was quite nice. The dark walls were lined with a white border, adding a touch of class. The red carpet beneath had a smooth feel to it, bringing some color to the otherwise dull surrounding. To the left, she noticed two glass doors leading out to a terrace. Its compelling design pulled her in as she pushed them open, sending a gust of cold air against her skin. She shivered in response and neared the edge. The girl gazed outwards, completely mesmerized by what she saw. Sure it was nothing like the view back at home, but that's what made it unique. The tall mountains covered most of the space, leaving some room for the barren, open land. There was not a tree in sight, as they weren't able to grow in this atmosphere. The landscape was remarkable, beautiful even, in its own way.

"Couldn't sleep?" A low, raspy voice came from behind.

Knowing who it was, she didn't bother turning around. "I tried."

She heard his footsteps getting closer. Romeo took his place next to Jesse, propping his arms over the railing as he bent over slightly.

Her eyes remained fixated on the scenery. "What about you?"

"I heard a noise."

Jesse made a point to keep quiet when she came out here. He must be a light sleeper, she thought. Romeo observed the girl, who seemed lost in thought.

He decided to break the ongoing silence. "You know, it's nice to see your face again. It's been five years."

She made eye contact. "I would've visited, I just..." her voice trailed off.

Romeo leaned in, wanting to hear the next words out of her mouth.

She sighed. "Everything was so overwhelming. I had to balance managing Beactontown, which is far from easy, all while dealing with the Herobrine stuff. I barely had any time for myself."

He felt an odd tug at his heart. It was unusual for him to feel bad for someone else, but he couldn't help it. She'd been through so much. The last thing she needed was all this stress.

"I wish you would've come to me sooner," he spoke softly.

Jesse felt a sting in her eyes. She looked down, tracing her index finger along the rails. "I'm hopeless." her voice broke.

Romeo placed his hand over hers, squeezing it gently.

She was now on the verge of tears. "It's just so much pressure- and everyone's always looking to me for answers when I can't even help myself." her head drooped low as she shut her eyelids, trapping the tears inside.

"It's like... no matter what I do I can't have one minute of peace." her words jumbled together, as she finally broke down, letting her weeps fill the air. "Why do I deserve that?"

She fell into him, resting her head on his shoulders for balance. Romeo stiffened, hesitantly bringing his hand to the side of her head.

He combed his fingers through her short, black hair. "Let it out. It's alright."
