Chapter 38: Monster

After their pitstop at the bridge, it took them even longer to return back to Konoha. Both Sadao and Kakashi transmitting key intel to the other villages as soon as they had a moment of respite. They quickly returned to the village, Sadao leading the group. He sighs as they walk through the gates, waiting for them is Ju Ichi, Shiroi, and Jouji.

"Hey boys, and Shiroi."

"Welcome back, my fools." Ju Ichi chuckles.

Shortly after, Shikamaru, and team Ten arrive.

"I heard from my father about Sasuke."

Naruto nods. "Yeah. We talked. And not only that but I fought with him, too." Everyone nearby gasps in surprise.

"You fought against him? Really?" Shikamaru asks.

"I'll give you all the details, but first, will you do me a favor and gather everyone for me? I have something I wanna say to all of them, Sadao, you already know."

Sadao scoffs, and starts walking away. "I'm well fucking aware, deuces." Sadao jumps away from Naruto, headed to the destroyed sector that formerly held the Uchiha district, he sighs exploring the ruins, meanwhile Eijiro watches the rest of the rookie group gathered, everyone but Sadao, and Anzu. Kakashi, however, is off to report to the elders. Noda sits in a room, very little sits in the room, a picture of his Genin team, one of the current team six, and a small mat in the corner, he also has a drawer with his clothes, but it is otherwise empty. He stays silent, and sits perfectly still, as a single tear falls out of his eye.

"Itachi, Shisui, Ringo, Mako, Sato, and Sayuri... please, forgive me." He mutters.

Ju Ichi sighs, sitting above the rest of class, Naruto just finished explaining everything.

"Sasuke did all that?" Shikamaru asks.

"That's... unbelievable." Shino mutters.

"No it's not." Everyone turns to Ju Ichi. "You're kidding me, right? We all know Danzo placed targets on the Uchiha twins, Sadao even threatened him in person. We all wanted Danzo dead. If Sasuke wanted Danzo dead too, then Sasuke can't be fully gone as far as I'm concerned. What bothers me, is Sakura lying to Naruto, and everyone else."

"That's why I want you to let me handle Sasuke."

TenTen slams her fist against a wooden beam. "You want to fight Sasuke alone? Do you honestly think we'd all go along with that?" She asks.

"It doesn't matter if we want to." Ju Ichi speaks up to his sister.

"What do you mean by that?!"

"Could you honestly say you'd be able to handle a fight against Sasuke Uchiha right now?" Everyone stares at him silently. "Currently now in Konoha, there are maybe five or six people awake and alive who could fight Sasuke right now."

"And who are they?" Shikamaru asks.

"Might Guy, Kakashi Hatake, Naruto Uzumaki, Sadao Uchiha, Anzu Uchiha, and Noda Isao. I perfectly understand that we can't let Naruto do everything by himself, but Kakashi, and Guy shouldn't be the ones to deal with Sasuke, Sadao and Anzu have already stated they don't care to deal with Sasuke, and Noda... he's got his own issues from what I heard."

Everyone continues their protest, each bashing Naruto for letting Sasuke get away.

"Oh like your much better, Kiba. How was that dirt nap? Keep barking and you'll take another." Sadao says walking by the group. "Being strong physically, and mentally are two different things. If Sasuke is truly going to lose, his ideology needs to be shattered, not just his physical self."
