Dean grabbed Sam's arm, dragging him away from the booth and I followed them after giving the Gang an apologetic look.

"Hey, you wanna pull that stick out of your..." Dean flapped his hand, "nether regions and just play along here?"

"Play... there are no words in this newspaper, Dean," Sam held up the newspaper about the colonel's death. "We should be trying to get out of here and instead, you-you're hanging out with Marmaduke."

Dean gasped, acting all offended.

"How dare you!"

"And hitting on Daphne, when she's clearly with Fred. Plus you're wife is right here," Sam gestured to me.

"She's settling, alright? Oh, Daphne could do so much better," Dean sighed. "Plus, she's on my list, so Ellie can't get mad."

"Told you," I gave Sam a pointed look.

"Anyway, last time we got zapped into TV, we got out by playing our part," Dean continued. "This is probably like that. The Gang, they're about to get a mystery."

"I don't know, Gang," Fred announced. "Sounds like this could be the start of a mystery."

"You know, uh, Sam, Ellie and I are actually mystery solvers, too," Dean said, walking back over. "Mind if we tag along?"

"That sounds like a swell idea. In fact, I think it's high time we hit the road."

"You know what that means?" Shaggy asked.

"Uh huh," Scooby nodded.

"Road food!" they chorused.

They both immediately started piling up ridiculously high sandwiches.

"Oh, heck yes!" Dean cried.

Sitting next to Scooby, he started making an identical tall sandwich, stuffing it into his mouth that expanded to fit the size of the food.

"Guys! Guys! Look how big my mouth is!" he said around the food.

Outside, we idled at a red light next the Mystery Machine and Dean being Dean, he challenged Fred to a race to get to the Colonel's mansion. The second the light turned green, the Mystery Machine raced away, leaving us in a cloud of smoke.

"Did... did you just get beat by a microvan?" Sam asked.

"The light was red! The..." Dean beat on the steering wheel with his fists. "Freeed!"

He pressed on the gas, taking off after the Mystery Machine. He was still complaining when we pulled up next to them at the mansion.

"Look, all I'm saying is that, aerodynamically speaking, there is no way my Baby should lose to... that," he pointed at the Mystery Machine. "Unless Fred cheated, which he clearly did."

"Dude, get over it," Sam told him.

"No!"

"Easy, Tiger," I smirked, patting Dean on the chest and walking over to where Scooby and the Gang were waiting.

"'A Night of Fright is No Delight'," Dean announced.

"What?" I asked.

"That's the episode we're in. I've seen it, like, a million times."

We headed inside with the rest of the relatives that had been called to the mansion, standing around while a man positioned himself beside a record player on a desk.

"Attention, everybody. As you all know, I am Cosgood Creeps, attorney of the late Colonel Sanders."

Cosgood put a briefcase on the desk next to the record player and Sam leaned over toward Dean as if to say something.
