"Mom! Maddie won't let me throw the ball for Miracle!"

"Maddie, give your brother a turn!"

"But I never get a turn! Zep hogs it all the time!"

I rolled my eyes as Dean chuckled beside me at the table. It had been nearly two years since we stopped Chuck and Jack took over. One of the last favors he did for us before going completely hands off was resurrect Maddie and Zep. We'd also heard that with Castiel's help, he'd completely redone Heaven so it was a better place for everyone when they finally died.

Sam had gone off and married Eileen, starting a family of their own away from the hunter's life. Dean and I had stayed in the Bunker with Maddie and Zep for a little while before also deciding it would be better to get a house and start fresh away from it all. So we'd bought a house in the same neighborhood as Sam and Eileen.

Cass would pop by to say hello and give us updates on his and Jack's progress every once in a while, but as we separated ourselves more and more from hunting, the visits diminished over the years. We didn't mind. There was something really peaceful knowing that whenever we did eventually grow old and die, we'd have friends waiting to welcome us with open arms up there. Life really was perfect these days, and I wouldn't change any of it for the world.

As peals of laughter echoed from the other room when Dean left my side to deal with the kids and our dog, I couldn't help but grin to myself knowing we finally got the happy ending we'd been dreaming of.
