Time

(This one is just slightly longer than the other chapters. Enjoy..)

--Mika's POV--

Fortune and Allie should be back tonight from their honeymoon. Andy and I are sad that Miss Eli will be leaving us, but we have also agreed that we will look into having our own as soon as we get back from our honeymoon.

Andy has been pretty quiet today. It's probably because I cannot stay home with him and Eli today. I have to head to a photoshoot and interview that cannot be put off. I'm upset over it, but there is not much I can do about it.

And he knows that. Should know that.

"I'll see you for dinner tonight?" I ask as I kneel down next him by the couch.

He nods without looking at me.

I sigh, "want me to put her in her crib, so you can get up?"

He shakes his head and adjusts the pillow underneath his head.

"Andy.."

"You're going to wake her up," he whispers.

I sigh again and kiss him on the cheek. I open my mouth to tell him I love him, but he puts his hand over my mouth. I roll my eyes and leave, accidentally slamming the door on the way out. I can hear Eli start to cry, so I quickly make my way to the car that's waiting for me.

They did the photoshoot first. The interviewer was running late, which means I'll be running late getting home. The interview was for the most part typical and then some relationship questions were thrown in.

"Mika, you've been more public with your long time relationship. What changed your mind about being public?" John, the interview asks.

"Well," I start. "It kind of just happened. We were at the grocery one day and I kissed him in public. I didn't realize it at first, but I did. So, we re-discussed it. We agreed that we'd wait until we were officially married before being completely public. But we still have to discuss this with our family. Sometimes it's good to hear their opinions, because we tend to jump before thinking of consequences."

"And these consequences would be?" John asks.

"You've seen relationship fall apart because they're public. We obviously don't want that. When your public everyone thinks they can have an opinion in your relationship. When in reality no one should influences your relationship. If we're going to fail, we're going to fail because of us, not someone else. We obviously don't want everything out in the open, but we do want to hold hands or kiss in public without being scared that someone's going to see."

"And you are getting married. Why now?"

"Well he finally proposed," I laugh.

John lets out a laugh, "fair enough. Are you going to be looking into adoption?"

"We will be looking into surrogacy and adoption. That'll be within the next couple of months, but we realize it might take longer than we would like," I reply with a smile.

When I finally arrive home it is 10PM. The lights are off and it is quiet. Andy must be sleeping.

But instead of finding Andy in the room I find another note:

Mika,

I need some time to think.
