--Rian's POV--

We managed to talk Nick into coming to Sydney's with us to go swimming. Once again, he's being all quiet. He's just sitting on the side of the pool with his feet dangling in.

"For someone that doesn't know how to swim, you have trunks?" Sydney said as he splashed Nick with water.

Nick just shrugged, "my dad bought them when we went on vacation. He didn't know I couldn't swim at first."

"Oh...okay," Sydney says and then swims away from Nick.

I smile at Nick and swim over to him. I then get the not so bright idea to grab his hand and yank him into the pool. I instantly regretted it when I saw the look of fear in his eyes before disappearing underneath the water. He struggled under the water. And for some stupider reason I didn't help him.

"Rian! What the fuck? Help him!" Sydney yelled as he dawn over to rescue a drowning Nick.

Nick was coughing and gripping onto Sydney tightly as they resurfaced. All the guys glared at me and got out of the pool with the two. I slowly followed. Sydney sat Nick down on the ground and stayed next to him. I could see Nick shaking and the tears running down his face as I approached.

"Nick..." I started.

"Shut the fuck up!" Mac yelled at me and shoved me out of the way.

"Go home Rian," Sydney told me without even looking at me.

"Nick...I'm sorry," I said as I quickly rushed back into the house to change.

I locked myself in the bathroom, slid down to the floor, and cried. I cried for a good ten minutes before dressing and walking home in shame. Why did I do that?
