Keep it Together

--Mika's POV--

I'm woken up by someone shaking me. When I open my eyes I see Sarah. She looks worried.

"Hi," I mumble.

"Are you okay Mika?"

I shrug. She sighs.

"Nick is home," she tells me.

I quickly get out of the bed and rush by her. I then see Nick and Kyle sitting in the living room. When Nick sees me he stands up and rushes over to me. We quickly engulf each other in a tight hug.

"I missed you," I tell him.

"I've barely been gone," he laughs as he pulls away. That's when I notice his chin.

"What the fuck happened?" I ask him angrily.

He quickly covers his chin. "Nothing. I fell on the stairs at Chris's."

"Bullshit!" I shout. "What happened Nick?"

He sighs, "Andy and I got into an argument. I pushed him and he pushed me back. When I fell back I smashed my chin off of he counter. I'm fine dad." I just shake my head and go back to my room to grab my phone.

"Hello?" Andy answers.

"Uh...why did you push my son?" I ask furiously.

"You mean our son? He pushed me, so I gave him a little shove. I didn't think he'd smash his chin off of the counter Mika," he replies.

"It should've never happened! He's staying with me and I'll get the girls back. Go start your own fucking family with Chris. Don't take mine!" I shout and hang up. I toss the phone to the bed and run my fingers through my hair in frustration.

"You're going to go bald if you keep tugging on your hair like that," Sarah laughs from the doorway.

I stop and give her a smile. She smiles back and walks in. We sit in silence on the bed for a few minutes.

"Everything will work out Mika," she tells me. "Nick loves you and you'll get the girls back. Please don't beat yourself up or fight with Andy. You need to be strong and not give him anymore reason to keep them from you."

"Thank you," I tell her as I place my hand over hers. She smiles and nods. I then stare at her lips. I contemplate on wether to make a move..
