--Nick's POV--

"Sydney, this isn't the way to my house..." I tell him as he turns back down his street.

"I know," he says. "Rian wants to apologize again."

I shake my head and stare out the window. I forgive him. I'm just confused. I feel different around Rian. I've never felt this way towards someone.

"Do you want me to stay or just pick you up when you're ready to leave?" Sydney asks me as he pulls into the driveway.

"I'll just call my dad. Thank you," I tell him before exiting his car.

Sydney quickly takes off down the street to his house. I slowly walk up to Rian's door and knock. When he answers the biggest smile appears on his face. My stomach feels funky as he starts to speak.

"Nick I'm so so sorry," he says.

"I forgive you," I tell him.

His smile grows wider, if that's even possible. He then grabs my hand and pulls me to his room. The butterflies in my stomach are worse...that's what the funky feeling is.

Rian sits me on his bed and then closes his door. I just sit nervously as he sits down next to me. He doesn't sit too close, but he's closer than necessary.

"Nick, I did it because I was nervous," he tells me. I just simply nod as I look to the floor. He grabs my hand and pulls it into his lap with his. "I like you Nick."

My head snaps towards him. "Really?" I ask.

"Yes," he laughs. "There's something about you. You're different. I like different. And you're the nicest person I've met."

I chuckle, "I didn't talk to my dad...Mika...for almost a year. I'm not that nice."

Rian laughs. My stomach does summersaults.

"Do you want to go on a date?"

"Me?" I ask as I point to myself and look around the room for someone else.

"Yes!" Rian laughs. "Do you?"

"Ummm...Rian...I don't even know if I'm gay. I mean my dads are, but that doesn't mean that I am..."

"Okay. Well, go on a date with me. Maybe it'll settle some confusion for you," he says.

"Or make it worse..."

"Well, it could, but let's try?"

"Alright. I should get going though," I tell him as I stand up.

"Okay. Want me to call Sydney?"

"Sure. Thanks," I tell him before heading upfront to wait for Sydney.

Rian waits in silence with me until Sydney arrives. He then awkwardly hugs me and says goodnight. Definitely a weird day..
