Atsumu was back in his hideout with his hair freshly washed and back to it's original platinum blonde colour, and his contacts out and chilling on the desk in their container, letting his honey brown eyes dominate his cold stare once again. He was sitting on the edge of his bed when he read the note that Kiyoomi had slipped into his sleeve.
——————————————————
Hey, Atsu.Firstly, nice work on your first sniper kill, Love, I'm so proud of you, and I'm glad you're liking your Barret M82.
Secondly, you may have noticed the increase of security in the club... Unfortunately, they're becoming suspicious of me and have resorted to high surveillance, which leads me to my next point.
They are trying to hunt down the killer of the man I was talking to, so they are looking for you. They want to find a link between you and me so that they can torture the location of our base from you. They think that the rumors about me working with Vulpes is true, which they are correct about, but the kill last night made them all the more suspicious.
Time's almost up before they kill me, Atsu, so we have to divert to plan B.
——————————————————Atsumu gulped, his eyes wide as he turned the page over to read the rest of the letter.
——————————————————
I hate to ask this of you, but you need to be captured on purpose. They want you alive so they shouldn't harm you unless you admit that I'm your master.
They're planning on moving the captives tomorrow night by train, and I need you to be on that train and break them out. Derail it if you have to. I'm going to take out the boss.
Purposely get caught in your next mission at their weapons locker in the industrial district, but make sure that you're carrying your new weapons as well as your daggers. Conceal the kunai daggers well, Atsu, they'll be needed in your break out.
I managed to sneak a copy of the schematics of the train and their plans. I probably slipped it into one of your pockets at the club.
——————————————————Atsumu got up and moved to the bed where his clothing from the night were strewn, and checked his pockets. He scoffed. Of course, Kiyoomi had actually put the schematics in his back pocket. He'd felt Kiyoomi's hands drift down to his backside during their dancing but he didn't really think much of it.
He sighed. As much as Kiyoomi shouldn't underestimate him, he shouldn't underestimate Kiyoomi.
——————————————————
Memorize those schematics. Get caught and make it believable, but always stay three steps ahead of them. Keep your mask fastened tight to your hood, and stay alert. Find Akaashi Keiji and Kozume Kenma, and get them out. We can do this.Stay safe. I love you, Atsu.
-Kiyoomi
——————————————————Atsumu folded the note up and kissed it. His hands were shaking slightly when he opened up the schematics of the train and began to study them.
The back three cars were where the captives were going to be held, specifically the second last car. The third last car was most likely where Atsumu's weapons would be kept since it was the weapons car. The last car was an extra security car.
The train would be leaving that next evening at six so Atsumu would have to get caught the next morning. He steeled his nerves.
Getting caught wasn't a problem for him, since his mask was locked to his hood when he was wearing it, and it wouldn't come off unless he willingly took it off. No, he was worried about Kiyoomi going after the boss.
Atsumu bit his lip as he continued to study the schematics of the train. He had to make a plan.
He could waltz into the warehouse guns-ablaze, but that would be suspicious. He pulled out the blueprints for the warehouse, which Kiyoomi had unsurprisingly slipped into his pocket along with the train schematics.
The warehouse was in a pretty good spot when it came to a stealthy entrance, and it would most definitely be crawling with security, which was good in Atsumu's case because he needed to get caught.
Atsumu sighed and ran a frustrated hand through his hair. Somehow, it was more difficult planning a mission where he got caught than planning one where he massacred an entire mafia without being seen or heard.
He heaved another heavy sigh, tears dripping onto the paper in his hands.
He couldn't do this on his own, not without Kiyoomi. He dropped the pages on the ground and clutched at his hair. He wracked his brain trying to figure out what to do, but he couldn't think properly.
He fumbled around his room and fiddled with his fingers. He tried to steady his breathing, but it was getting difficult.
Kiyoomi was going for the boss. They had him on high surveillance. He was in danger. He entrusted Atsumu with retrieving his cousin and friend.
Atsumu could do this. All he had to do was plan a mission that would get him caught without being suspicious.
How could he do that? An assassin of his calibre getting caught was not something that would seem normal at first glance. There was no way he could make it inconspicuous unless–
Atsumu froze. That was it – there was no way he could make it inconspicuous unless he was injured.
Atsumu exhaled heavily, finally calming down enough to think properly.
He moved to his bed and crouched down to grab the few sets of medical books he stored under it. He needed to find a place where he could take a bullet and it would be severe enough to potentially incapacitate him for a short amount of time but not kill him.
In the end he settled on somewhere that his Kevlar-plated gear would cover, so the bullet wouldn't pierce his skin but it would still injure him enough to make his capture believable. Plus, it should give him enough time to complete his mission and get back to the base to see Akagi for medical attention.
Atsumu spent a bit more time reading up on the fatality of gunshot wounds before he got into bed and drifted off into a restless sleep.
