Kiyoomi slipped his gun back in its holster in favor of holding Atsumu by the waist, "He said you're injured, Atsu, what happened?" He asked gently, but it had a stern undertone that nearly made Atsumu go weak in the knees.
Atsumu blushed a heavy red, "I was shot," he answered, forever honest with his Omi, "It was planned though, so it hit the Kevlar platin' of my gear," he explained, "But I think it bruised a kidney, 'cause it's painful as hell an' I'm runnin' on pure adrenaline right now," he finished, closing his eyes tightly.
Kiyoomi sighed worriedly and brushed his hair aside, kissing him on the forehead, "Put your mask on, we're going back to the base," he said.
Atsumu shook his head, "We hafta get Kenma an' Akaashi from my hideout first," he explained.
Kiyoomi grimaced, "I take it you got here on your bike?"
Atsumu nodded, "I can drive it back to my hideout, but I don't think I can go much further..."
Kiyoomi pressed a kiss to the top of Atsumu's head, "You'll be okay, Love," he assured, "We'll go get Kenma and Keiji, drop your bike off at your hideout, and then we'll go right to base so Michinari can patch you up."
Atsumu nodded and began to put his mask and hood back on.
They easily made their way out of the building – since Atsumu murdered all the security – and drove to Atsumu's hideout with Atsumu, on his Yamaha, leading Kiyoomi, in his Audi.
They got to the hideout and Kiyoomi parked outside while Atsumu parked his bike in the garage. After that, they both went down into the basement to get Akaashi and Kenma.
"Kaashi! Kenma!" Atsumu called, walking into the basement with Kiyoomi behind him, "We're here."
Akaashi and Kenma, who were just chilling on the bed, looked over at them. Kenma had been playing games on Atsumu's phone that he'd left at the hideout and Akaashi had been watching him.
They began to get up from the bed, when Atsumu stumbled, his eyes going wide as he rushed to the bathroom. Leaned over the toilet, Atsumu unclipped his mask and threw it aside just before he released what was left in his stomach, which wasn't much since the last time he'd eaten was that morning, along with a few splats of blood here and there, into the toilet bowl.
Kiyoomi rushed to his side, and caught him as he fell back, his vision going spotty again.
"O... Omi?" Atsumu called weakly.
Kiyoomi grimaced, "I'm right here, Atsu," he assured as he laid Atsumu down and carefully lifted his Kevlar-plated shirt up.
His eyes widened in worry, seeing the bruising and discoloration.
He turned to Kenma and Akaashi who were watching nervously at the door, "Get his mask and get to the car," he instructed, "We have to get him to the base as soon as possible."
Kenma scrambled to get the mask before he and Akaashi ran up the steps of the basement to the car.
Kiyoomi gently covered the bruise back up with the Kevlar-plated gear before he scooped Atsumu off the floor, moving him into a more comfortable position where his head was resting against Kiyoomi's chest.
"I've got you, Atsu," Kiyoomi assured once again as he carried Atsumu out to the car, switching the lights off as he went, "You're going to be okay, just stay with me," he added, unsure whether he was trying to convince himself or Atsumu.
He gently laid Atsumu on the back seat of the car with the help of Akaashi and Kenma who sat with him and made sure he was comfortable.
Kiyoomi started the car and stepped on the gas, going much faster than he was supposed on the busy city streets, "Kenma, you've got Atsumu's phone, right?"
"Yeah?" Kenma answered.
Kiyoomi gave him a number, "Call him and put it on speaker."
Kenma quickly typed in the number and clicked the call button.
After two rings, the person picked up, "Hello?"
"Motoya, can you hear me?" Kiyoomi asked.
The was a gasp on the other side of the line, "Kiyo?! What the fuck? Where the hell did you go? Atsumu left a note saying he was going to help you but-"
"Just be quiet and listen to me, okay?" Kiyoomi said, cutting Komori off, "I'll explain later, but right now, I need you to get Michinari to prepare the infirmary."
Komori was quiet for a second, recognizing the worry and fear in his cousin's voice, "What happened, Kiyoomi?" He asked.
Kiyoomi sighed frustratedly, "Atsumu's hurt badly... He got shot in his bulletproof gear but it's bad. He's in pain, vomiting blood, dizziness, his abdomen is bruised and discolored, and he's on the verge of passing out, so please," he begged.
That was all Komori needed, "Got it," he said, "We'll be ready for when you get here."
The next few hours passed in a blur for both Kiyoomi and Atsumu. They made it back to base without a hitch and Kiyoomi carried Atsumu into the infirmary, where Akagi had already prepared everything. Akagi had run a few tests and came up with the diagnosis that Atsumu was bleeding internally. Akagi then shoved Kiyoomi out of the infirmary with a few words relating to needing to take Atsumu into surgery if he couldn't control the bleeding.
The last image Kiyoomi had seen of Atsumu before the door to the infirmary was closed was of the assassin lying shirtless on the bed, arms striped with the blood of his most recent kills, abdomen bruised and discolored, breathing ragged and hoarse, eyes scrunched with pain, IV connecting to his wrist, anesthetic being administered, and breathing apparatus on.
He'd turned to the door and cracked open his eyes weakly, a soft, "I'll be fine, Kiyoomi," leaving his lips before he drifted off into unconsciousness.
Kiyoomi had stared at the door for what seemed like hours before he was shoved against the wall by the twin of his love. Osamu had an expression of pure anger and frustration on his face as he threw Kiyoomi to the floor and unleashed punch after punch into his face while he screamed profanities.
Kiyoomi didn't have the strength to fight back, instead, he just took the punches and ignored the pain best he could while he let his worried tears fall to the floor beneath his head.
The weight of Osamu had been pulled off of him by Bokuto and Iwaizumi, and Suna had rushed in to try and calm Osamu at some point while Kiyoomi was pulled up off the floor by Kuroo and Komori.
It was then that his body finally decided to give out from all the stress and exhaustion that had built up over the past few weeks, and he slipped into unconsciousness.
