After Dark (SasuNaru story)

Confession?

Stalker: No...

Naruto: Wait why?

Stalker: I changed my mind.

Naruto: What do you mean? I was really excited to finally meet you.

Stalker: I never said I'd introduce myself as the stranger who's in love with you.

Naruto: In love?...

Stalker: Idiot.

He placed his dirty clothes into a plastic bag that was used to transport his clean clothes. He frowned and definitely felt the emotions of sadness take over. He wanted just even the smallest chance to meet him.

He decided to not respond as it seemed the stalker was in a bad mood. He remembered the guy mentioning how he's intolerable to be around. If so then he must be like Sasuke and he knows better then anyone to stay away if he gets mad. Taking his experience into consideration, he came to the conclusion it was best to finish the last three stacks of paper work he has left to do. Since he's got all day there didn't seem to be an issue.

After hours upon hours of working his brain started to fry. It was no longer morning, it now was nearing 6:00PM. To him it felt it took him longer to do this work then it did the last load. But finally signing off on his last document he leaned back in his chair and stretched groaning out loud. The office door opened and it was Shikamaru, Sasuke, and Ino. The last three he'd see walking in at the same time.

"We've detected an unregistered Chakra through the barrier enforcements." Ino blurred out before they even made it into the office. Catching him off guard he stood up from his desk. He was ready for battle no matter who the enemy. They all left to head to the location where the chakra was. With being on high alert after Momoshiki's attack they all took this very seriously.

"I'm very sorry! I didn't mean to cause any ruckus." The little old lady said. She has made her way through the open gates at sector eight, and since the barrier department is also on high alert they immediately alerted Ino. Which is what led to this.

"No please it's not your fault ma'am." Naruto reassured her not to worry. Shikamaru took over getting a quick statement from her while Ino stayed back with him. Naruto and Sasuke walked back to the office together. It only seemed logical. But their conversation didn't seem to go far.

"Thanks again for earlier..." The blonde said picking some kind of topic to talk about. "Hm.." Sasuke basically hummed back at him to assure him he heard what he said. Their walk back to the office wasn't as long as Naruto wanted. He did want to talk to him. Even just for a little while. "About yesterday... thanks for the advice...but i don't know if that's really what i feel." This caught Sasuke's attention, he turned his head slightly just to glance at Naruto. "What do you mean?" He showed true curiousness. Which made the blonde a little nervous. He wasn't exactly ready to talk about this nor did he think Sasuke would really be interested. "Well...can I tell you something? You gotta keep it to yourself." He asked with meaning.
"Who am I gonna tell?" He asked in response to his question. Which was also very common of him. Never actually giving an answer without asking his own question first. "Eh yeah sorry." He responded.
"Don't worry about me, you should worry about yourself!" He abruptly said even though he was the one who wanted to talk. They continued walking to the office, Sasuke waited for him to go on with his story but the Hokage got quiet. They walked in silence until arriving to the office.
