The first thing Isla noticed when she opened her eyes was that she was tied up. She struggled to break free, but it didn't seem to be working.
"You're not going to be able to get out of those." A voice rang through the darkness, and Isla frantically searched for the source. Her eyes fell on a familiar witch.
"Sabine?" The older witch chuckled, taking a step closer to Isla.
"Not quite." Isla tilted her head in confusion. "My real name is Celeste." At the mention of that name, Isla's eyes widened. She had heard that name before.
"Elijah's witch lover who was killed by Klaus?" Celeste nodded, folding her arms.
"You're smart." She walked over to a table covered with magical objects.
"Why am I here?" The young blonde asked. "What do you want from me?" Celeste sighed, keeping her gaze on what she was doing.
"You are part of a plan for revenge my fellow witches and I have planned for Klaus. Each of us has our own way to take him down. We're hoping the bartender Camille will stab him with Papa Tunde's blade, or for Elijah to do it himself. If those fail, we will use you as leverage." Isla frowned.
"So, let me get this straight. You kidnapped me, to use as a backup plan for your backup plan?" Celeste looked up at her.
"I don't think Elijah will betray his brother like that, even though Klaus has been nothing but a burden to him. But if he doesn't, I have another plan for him that involves you. So you're not just a backup." She ignored the blonde's confused expression, grabbing some things. "When the blade is in Klaus's heart, I will let you go. Now, I have to fulfill my part of the plan." She opened the doors to the mausoleum, leaving Isla alone and still tied up.
Isla huffed, looking around for some way to free herself. She had no doubt that Celeste had spelled the ropes that were binding her hands together.
She couldn't tell how much time had passed since Celeste had left, but at some point, something changed. She didn't know what it was, but something was off. The room felt like it was getting warmer even though the sun was setting. Isla squirmed in the chair she was sitting in, trying to break free.
Another thing Isla noticed was that she was suddenly feeling dehydrated. She closed her eyes, thinking that she could just will away whatever this was, and that someone would come for her.
At some point, she heard chanting outside. She recognized Celeste's voice, but the other two she couldn't pinpoint. Whatever was going on, couldn't be good. She tried to move, but whatever spell Celeste had put on her was making her weak.
Soon, the door opened, and Celeste walked in. The older witch looked at Isla, and she had a confused look on her face.
"What..." Isla panted. "What did you do to me?" Celeste shook her head.
"I didn't do anything to you." Isla looked at her in disbelief.
"You obviously did something. I feel like I'm boiling, and I'm very dehydrated." She narrowed her eyes, raising her voice. "So, what did you do to me?" The look on Celeste's face morphed from confusion to curiosity.
"I promise you, I have nothing to do with what's happening to you. This is something else." She chuckled. "You know, I had planned to kill you like I'm going to kill the rest of your family, but maybe this will do that for me." She chuckled, turning around. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go finish what I started."
Isla's eyes widened, and she willed herself to focus on stopping Celeste. But by the time she had concentrated enough to do anything, Celeste was gone. She sighed, leaning back in her chair. This was it. She was going to die.
