Not even twelve hours later, Rebekah showed up, claiming that there was another problem. While she and Klaus argued, Isla was sitting up in her room. She would have been packing, except she didn't have much to pack.

She could hear Rebekah coming up the stairs. Rebekah opened the door and stood in the doorway.

"Isla, get your stuff. We're leaving." Isla stood up.

"What?" Rebekah sighed, tears forming in her eyes.

"If Nik wants to turn his back on our family, then so be it. I'm leaving." Isla looked at her older sister. She didn't want her family to be split up, but Elijah and Kol had already left, and Finn was dead, so there wasn't much she could do about it now.

"Okay, I'm coming with you." Rebekah nodded and went to get her things. Isla sighed and rubbed her head.

Not long later the two were in Rebekah's car, driving out of Mystic Falls. Isla was resting her elbow on the car door, watching the trees go by.

All of a sudden, Rebekah's phone rang. She picked it up and answered. She spoke for a few minutes, then pulled the car over to the side of the road.

"okay, change of plans." Isla looked at her sister, confused with the sudden change. "Nik is apparently in a coffin, and we have to go get him so that Alaric doesn't kill him. But after that, we're leaving." The blonde turned the car around and they sped off.

They arrived at a storage facility. Rebekah immediately got out of the car, but before Isla could follow, Rebekah locked the doors.

"What?" Rebekah sighed.

"Stay here. I'll be back." She went into the building, leaving Isla in the car. Isla sat back in her seat with a huff.

After a couple minutes, Isla started getting a sharp pain in her head. Having felt this before, she knew exactly what this was.

"No. No." She fumbled with the lock until she unlocked the car and opened the door. Her head was still throbbing. She could see Rebekah running toward the car. Rebekah got in the car and started it, tears in her eyes. "Rebekah, what?" Rebekah said nothing. The car started driving. "WHAT IS IT?" Isla was almost yelling at this point. Rebekah shook her head.

"We have to outrun Alaric." The car was going more than 100 miles an hour at this point, and even with the throbbing pain in her head, Isla needed to hear the words. But Rebekah kept silent.

All of a sudden, the pain stopped. Isla frowned. When Finn died, the pain lasted for a couple of minutes, and she saw a glimpse of it. This pain lasted about 30 seconds. Something was off. The car stopped, and Isla could see Elijah. Rebekah got out of the car and Isla followed.

"He's gone, Elijah." Rebekah said to him, and Isla looked at the ground. "And there was nothing I could do to stop it." The two hugged for a few seconds, and then Elijah pulled away.

"Tyler Lockwood is dead, but the rest survived. You said that Niklaus turned their bloodline." Rebekah shook her head.

"I thought he did."

"It wasn't me." Elijah responded. "It wasn't Kol."

"It wasn't me, Elijah. It was Niklaus, I'm sure of it." Elijah looked away.

"Then how are they still alive?"
