"What was that for?"
Ashton's P.O.V
One Month Later
"Ronnie! I have good news!" I plopped onto Ronnie's bed after she had invited me over because I missed her after an hour of being apart after school.
"What is the news?"
"I just heard that Manny is coming to visit next weekend."
"No way! I can finally meet this famous Manny, huh?"
"Yep. The last time he visited here, I still hated you." Ashton laughed. "He's coming back for a family thing but he's gonna spend a day here with me. I want you to meet him."
"I can't wait to meet him then."
"You know..." I began.
"What?"
"It's extremely convenient to live next to your girlfriend."
"What do you mean?"
"Like the ease of being able to see you every day, to literally have to walk twenty seconds to your door, it's great. I'm so happy you're my neighbor."
"Yea after ten years of hating each other, I'm glad we realized this." She laughed.
"But do you have to write that paper right now, babe? I wanna hold you. I just wanna hold my girl."
"You have to write the same paper though, Ash. Why don't you get your laptop & we can write it together?"
"I'll write mine later tonight. Come sit with me. Please? I want cuddles." I pouted my bottom lip. Ronnie shut her laptop & she walked over to me. She put her finger on my lip & I rolled my lip back in.
"Put that lip away. No one likes a whiner." Ronnie told me. I then reached over & I pulled her onto my lap.
"Okay, so no one likes a whiner but I like a moaner..." I winked at her.
"Stop it." She slapped my arm. "You always turn everything so dirty."
"I can't help it. You do things to me Miss. Ronnie."
I kissed Ronnie's forehead & then I just held her in my arms. That's honestly all I wanted & that night, I felt like Ronnie looked at me in a way she never has before & it made me feel as if all was right in the world.

"Alright, Manny will be here in like ten minutes." I told Ronnie as I checked my phone.
Ronnie was currently sitting on my lap as we waited on my couch for Manny & the other three to come over. Manny had just been visiting with some of his family & now he was coming by me for two nights. My mom agreed to let me have all the boys stay over tonight so we could have a bonfire, share a couple drinks & catch up.
"Are you excited, Ash?"
"I'm so excited. I miss him. I mean we still text a lot but I haven't seen him in like two years. Our schedules just weren't working out for a visit."
"Then I'm glad he's coming." Ronnie smiled at me.
"So am I." I kissed Ronnie's cheek.
"What was that for?"
"I just really like you."
"I really like you too babe." Ronnie then returned the kiss on my cheek. "You make me happy."
"& I like making you happy."
Not too long after, I heard a knock at my door. I bolted up from the couch & I ran to the door.
