"We're still a song, right?"

Ronnie's P.O.V

"You were fantastic, Ashton."

"Thanks." He mumbled as he followed me outside the building through a side exit.

"Uhm so I talked to Michael."

"When?"

"Like a half hour ago. He explained everything."

"Oh." Ashton was looking down at the ground, his hands in his pockets.

"Like everything." I stressed. "Ashton, I've been so wrong. You've been so truthful this entire time & I've been writing you off. You've been there for me every step of the way but I haven't seen it. I am so sorry. God I am so sorry. I take back so much of what I said. I honestly just had such a hard time believing that a guy as great as you could ever really like a girl like me. I'm so dorky & weird & you're so hot & cool & it never made any sense. I honestly didn't give you enough credit. Uhm I just, I'm so sorry. I really messed this up & I was so mean to you & I can't apologize enough. I just messed this whole thing up."

"You didn't mess it up." Ashton said, taking a step towards me. "I can forgive you, you know."

"But I've been such a dick."

"I still forgive you, Ron."

"You do? But I was so mean. I said so many mean things to you these past few weeks."

"& I've been saying mean things to you the past ten years. I can get over it." He took another step. "But what I can't get over...is you."

"I didn't mess it completely up?"

"No, not completely." He smirked before he wrapped his arms around my back. "I think there's still some hope for us."

"I'm sorry, Ashton."

"Don't be. Trust takes time, I get that."

"Can we try again, Ashton?"

"Yea." He smiled. "Let's just start with this."

& then he leaned down & he kissed me a few times.

"I like the song by the way. A song about a relationship being like a movie."

"What does that remind you of?" He laughed.

"Us. You're clever, Irwin."

"Exactly though. Us. I want there to be an us."

"Me too. I don't want it to be a heartache though."

"Then I will write another song." He giggled. "Wait you have a song to perform! You need to get back inside."

"Wait, Ashton. Uhm just know that the song I'm about to sing was written when I still thought you were a complete asshole, okay? I don't mean it."

"What do you mean by that?"

"I'm about to call you out for treating me like shit."

"Mhmm. Okay." He shrugged his shoulders. "That's okay."

"You sure? It's a pretty angry song."

"Yea. I think you're pretty hot when you're angry anyway. Can we continue this talk after?"

"Definitely."

I ran back inside to find my band. I put my guitar over my shoulder & I played a few notes to warm up with my band before it was our time to go on.

I saw Ashton from the side stage & he smiled as we walked on.
