The Forest Queen

The Beginning

Long ago, The Kingdom of Crismania was very fertile and had the happiest village in all the land. On top of the highest,most beautiful hill was the palace and inside it,was the nine year old,young and energetic Prince Aiden.
Aiden was a curious and mischievous boy. He would often run around the castle and play pranks on the servants. The king and queen would often scold him but he would never listen. One day when Aiden was playing with his friends Renaldo and Gilbert,his parents called him to see someone very special. As Aiden went inside, he wondered who it could be. Standing there next to his Father was a little girl who was around his age.

"Son,"his Father told him,"this is Maria,she's a visiting princess from her kingdom".

       Maria was a shy, sweet , and quiet girl. She had shiny black hair ,deep green eyes, and a cute,shy smile that Aiden felt his heart beat a little faster. Maria was wearing a cute,sparkly pink dress with white trim and pink shiny shoes with white stockings to match, she was also wearing a small gold heart shaped necklace with a red bow in her hair.

Aiden felt shy but asked her,"you want to play with me and my friends?"

Maria just shyly nodded yes.

Aiden offered her his hand which she took and together they ran out to the garden, where his two friends were still waiting for him.                         
Renaldo had dark hair and dark brown eyes with light skin and Gilbert had light brown hair with blue eyes.

His friends saw he was with a little girl and wanted to know who she was, they came over and asked Aiden what he was doing with such a cute little girl.

Aiden explained that she was the princess of a kingdom far away and that she was a little shy about being here. Maria was looking around ,hiding behind Aiden until she saw the beautiful flowers by the fountain in the middle of the garden.                                

   Maria went to see the flowers and was very happy to see all the different colors and shapes of the flowers. As the day went on, Aiden,Maria, and his friends spent the whole time together talking about how beautiful the flowers were and playing games in the garden. Aiden noticed she was looking at the beautiful violets and went towards her.

Aiden asked Maria," Do you like the Violets?"

"Yes," she answered him quietly," They remind me of my violet garden back home."

  After two weeks, Aiden and Maria had to say goodbye because she was returning to her kingdom. Aiden was heartbroken to see her leave, but she and Aiden made a promise to each other before she left. Aiden gave her a Violet from his garden and gave her a hug.

"Come back again someday?" Aiden asked her.

Maria smiled cheerfully at him, clutching onto the Violet that Aiden gave her,"I will."

As the ship sailed away, Aiden was waving to her until the ship was out of sight. Aiden was not able to conceal his disappointment to see her leave. That's when he realized that maybe his friends could help him to see if Maria would sail safely home. Renaldo and Gilbert were assistants to the royal wizard, Jamel. So they were learning magic from him. So Prince Aiden rushed to their lab.
