Gilbert and Mina were living a quiet life in the forest and before Mina knew it she was already six years old. One day when Mina was walking in the forest as she often did she came upon a little squirrel caught in a trap. Freeing the tiny creature's foot Mina giggled as she watched it scamper off into the brush. Then out of the trees came a magnificent white deer with large golden antlers and hooves.
Instead of being scared by the beautiful animal, Mina felt drawn to it and reached for it, but the deer only stared at the small little girl.
" Deer." Mina smiled as she walked towards the beast.
The deer lowered its Snow White head sniffing the little girl.Mina grabbed the deer by the antlers instead of being spooked by her sudden action the deer slowly lifted her up so she dangled just off the ground. The strange deer's ears twitched and his eyes shifted away from her setting her on the ground just as Mina heard Gilbert's voice calling her through the woods.
Nudging her with his muzzle the deer ushered her around and Mina turned to say goodbye, however the mysterious creature had disappeared into the woods he came without a sound.
" Mina!" Gilbert called her.
Mina went to see Gilbert and Gilbert wondered what took her so long to come to him.
" Mina what were you doing?" Gilbert asked the little girl.
Mina said to him," I was playing with the deer."
Gilbert looked around but he didn't see any deer on the way back home. Mina went on and on about the deer she saw. Mina then told the queen of the forest, whom she calls grandmother about the deer to. All the animals and the queen were all surprised to hear about the magnificent deer that Mina had seen.
" you saw Hiran?" the queen asked Mina.
" Hiran?" Mina tilted her head in confusion.
" Hiran is a spirit guide from a long time ago. He was the guide for wise and powerful rulers." The queen smiled mysteriously, "You're a very special girl Mina only very few have seen him."
"Will I ever see Hiran again?" Mina asked.
" maybe someday." The queen told her. " Hiran only comes when he wants to."
Mina then went to bed,as she lay in her bed, her thoughts were on Hiran, wondering if she would ever see him again until she finally drifted off to sleep.
