Mean, and Felix continued their swim, when Mina was done swimming, she climbed out of the water and the prince ask her a question.

" do you think your fox friend will be OK?" the print said with a concerned look.

Mina assured the prince that Geo would be fine. He always is. After that Mina and Felix decided they should walk home and as they walked, Mina asked the Prince.

" so do you know what deer racing is?" She asked with a slight smile.

" no," he answered," what's that?" he asked to raising an eyebrow in confusion.

Mina slowly turned her head away and answered him ," well once a year around this time, we have a deer race to see which deer is the fastest and I get to ride on one of my favorite deer."

The prince looked in her eyes and Asked. " which deer is that?"

" he is a buck named Anthony." She answered him as her cheeks turned bright red.

Mina than lead the prince to the deer track so he could see the race for himself and as a peeked through the bushes. She couldn't help but notice how handsome the prince looked now that she got a better look at him. The prince didn't notice the look she was giving him instead, he was infatuated with the race, and wanted so much to join the thrill of it, and when the race was over, he exclaimed with excitement.

" Whoa did you see the size of that deer!" the prince said with delight. Mina nodded her head for now she was too shy to say anything now. They both didn't know that Geo was hiding in some bushes too and was watching them. Geo wanted to make Felix look bad in front of Mina. when he saw that the prince was infatuated with the deer race. He got an idea. when Mina stepped away to get some berries for a snack, as they watch the race,Geo went to talk to the prince.

" hello prince, Felix." Geo said with a sly grin.

Prince Felix turned around and saw the fox," Oh hello Geo." he said to him.

" do you know what would really impress Mina?" the fox asked him.

" no what?" The prince said confused.

The fox smiled, showing his teeth," if you would ride on one of the deer in the race." His words, shocked the prince.

" oh, I don't know Geo, Mina says I really shouldn't." the prince answered him.

"But Mina simply adores the deer race and just think if she saw you riding on top of the deer that would really boost your relationship wouldn't it?" the fox said slyly.

Finally, the prince was convinced." well, OK if you think it'll help me win Mina over."

The fox only answered him with a sly smirk," oh, believe me, it will."

But as soon as Felix got on top of a deer, it started bucking and kicking, and then all of a sudden it started to run off and the herd with it all of a sudden there was a stampede! Just then, Mina was coming back.

" Hey look what I got I found—" she began, but then had to stop as she saw Felix on top of the deer running away and a whitetail deer herd stampeding "Felix?!"

Instantly Mina reacted. She ran off , dropped her basket and got on another deer and started to go after Felix. when she got close enough, she pulled on the antlers of Felix's deer, and it halted to a stop and soon the herd became calm as well, but Mina was angry.

" Felix what did you think you were doing?!!you could've been killed!"Mina replied to him.

" but Geo said you'd like me better if I could deer race." The prince said to her.

Mina was furious to hear this. ," what?! Geo told you to deer race?!"

The prince nodded his head, as if to say yes

" Geo! Geo!" Mina called but the fox it already gone." I'll deal with that pesky fox later." then she turned to the Prince.

And then Mina suggested that they go home to prince offered to walk Mina to her cottage and she was delighted to except his offer. As they walk some more, they come to her home with her adoptive father is waiting for her at the door. He was sure that they would hit it off and Mina would be safe with him.
Gilbert wanted so much for his daughter to find love and he was sure that she had found it. He was so lost in the thoughts that he didn't notice the prince waving as he left. And Mina was waving back at him.
Gilbert ushered his daughter to come inside for dinner where Queen Janice was sitting on a chair, having a nice salad.

" hello grandmother." Mena said, with happiness.

"Well," the Forest Queen, said with a smile," someone seems very happy today."

" I am very happy today, grandmother." Mina said to her." me and prince Felix had to spend the whole day together." Mina went on, and on, explaining how handsome she thought the prince was, and how kind he had been. Queen Janice was happy to hear that her adopted granddaughter had found someone who she could share her life with. The Queen then rose from the table and thanked Gilbert for the salad dinner and turned to Mina.

"I must leave now, there are some wilting trees that need my attention." The Queen said as she smiled and as she took her golden staff with her.

"Of course grandmother." Mina said as she understood that her adoptive grandmother had important duties to fulfill.

As soon as the queen left, Gilbert said to his daughter," come here and eat your dinner. Tonight we're having your favorite ,mashed potatoes with a dinner roll, and a side order of pork." a smile slipped Mina's lips.

After their meal, Mina felt tired, so she excused herself from the table and went to her bedroom. She found Maisie, Geo, and Isaac, all snuggled up in their beds. Maisie and Isaac were happy for Mina, too. They were thrilled that their friend had found somebody Geo's heart, on the other hand, his heart was filled with jealousy. But he didn't say a word to Mina. Instead, he just turned away from her.

"Oh no!" She cried at him," You are NOT getting off that easy! Don't you know that you could have killed somebody out there?! Therefore as punishment, NO bacon snacks for you tonight!"

"Fine!" Geo yelled at her." I didn't want them anyway!"

Maisie and Isaac went to sleep as Mina and Geo were done fighting. Mina was the only one still awake, and she was gazing out her window, staring at the castle, wondering if the prince really did love her. she gazed and wondered and wondered until finally she fell asleep, dreaming of her love, and wanting him so badly to be near her.
In a dream Mina was having. She was dancing with her beloved Prince Felix. They danced and danced. They swirled and twirled as if they would never end, but then suddenly Mina woke up and heard whispers downstairs. She knew those voices. It was her adopted father, Gilbert and her adopted grandmother the queen Janice. The queen of come back from the duties she was performing, and now she was back again. Mina went downstairs to see what they were talking about. She listened in as they talked.

" you know sooner or later you're going to have to tell her the truth." Mina heard the queen say." we cannot keep this a secret forever."

" I know that!" Gilbert said to her." but if Mina ever finds out, she is the princess then there could be trouble." he shouted slightly.

Mina was shocked What was her adoptive father and adoptive grandmother talking about? Princess? The truth? Now Mina had so many questions and she wanted answers,so she came out from behind the stairs, and when Gilbert and the queen saw her they were stunned.

" what do you mean princess? And what do you mean by the truth?" Mina asked.

Gilbert knew he could not deny it any longer. Then he pulled up a chair and said to his adopted Daughter. " maybe you should come and sit down there is a lot I need to tell you."

Mina sat down a little scared to try and understand what her family was talking about. But still she bravely sat down in the chair and listen carefully.
