The Forest Queen

The New King

  Aidan's coronation was to take place in the church, and everyone turned as the doors open to see their new king. Aidan walked down as everyone stared at him but he didn't care. He walked boldly, but slowly, and he also walked very proudly. It's what his father would've wanted. Aiden's mind was still towards his father. But he remembered when his father told him about being a wise and brave king.

  "Do you solemnly swear to protect this kingdom with your life?" The priest asked Aiden as he held the crown high.

" I solemnly swear."Aiden told the priest.

" then by the power vested in me, I hereby pronounce you, King Aiden, King of Crismania." the priest announced happily.

   Everyone cheered to see the new king, and since Aiden was the new king that made Maria his new queen. Everyone seemed so happy, everyone that is except Aiden. Queen Maria could see the sadness in his eyes so she went over to her husband to see what was wrong.

" what's wrong my dear husband," Maria asked him," you seem so sad, but you shouldn't be. You're the king now."
Aidan looked at her with sorrow.

   " oh Maria," he said, with sadness," I wish you could understand that I miss my father."

Maria shook her head slowly.

" I do understand it was all a sad day for us when your father passed away but now that you're the king, we have to take all responsibilities now, and that means putting the past behind us so we can make a fresh start." she explained to him.

  Aiden knew that Maria was right, and he couldn't run away from the fact that he was king. As the new king Aidan had responsibilities, he had to see how things in the kingdom were doing even if that meant getting in the way of his own sadness, he had to put his kingdom before his feelings first, and for a while he seem to do a good job as king. But after a while he realized that he had still not picked the royal wizard, yet his two friends, Gilbert and Ronaldo both trained for this day, so when the time came, for Aiden did choose the royal wizard, it was a tough decision, since they both were his friends, but after a long while Aiden chose Gilbert instead of Ronaldo.

Ronaldo was furious ," why did you choose him over me?!" Ronaldo, asked Aiden angrily.

  Aidan didn't know what to say to him and so he said nothing. Aiden was very sad to see his friend so angry, but there was nothing he could do by law he was only allowed to have one royal wizard, and he picked Gilbert. Ronaldo was furious. He stormed out of the kingdom and went up into the Storming Mountains. And no one has seen him since.
