The Forest Queen

The shocking truth

Gilbert sighed," when you were a baby", he began," a wicked wizard named Ronaldo, attacked the kingdom of Crismania. He killed the king and queen. You're real mother and father. he tried to kill you, but I escaped with you, and took you into the forest, where the queen gave us shelter." Gilbert explained to Mina, who is still listening to him. " you must understand I did it to protect you. you wear the Queen's necklace and you carry your father's,the king's, sword."

Mina's heart sank. She realized she was the princess of a kingdom very different than the life she knew.  Tears filled her eyes and she knew her adopted Father was telling the truth, because he never lied to her. But now she realized her whole life had been a lie not knowing what to do she rushed out. Gilbert wanted to go after her, but the queen stopped him.

" leave her," the queen, said," I think she needs some time by herself."

Mina didn't know what to do so she ran and ran until she couldn't run anymore. Then she realized she was at the lake so she sat down and sobbed her face and her hands. suddenly she heard a noise behind her. She thought it was her adopted father, so she turned to see who it was and lo and behold before her, not stood her adopted father Gilbert, but instead a great white deer, with massive golden antlers and golden hooves. The deer towered over her as she sat down on her knees.

" We met once before." the deer said, without even moving his lips.

Suddenly Mina realized ," I know you, your Hiran."

" yes, that's true." the deer answered her." do you know why I have come?" he asked her.

" no." the sad girl answered him.

He Explained to her ," I have come because you need my help deep down. Now you know you don't know who you are."

Mina rubbed the tears from her eyes and nodded." yes that's true. Now I don't know what to believe."

Hiran assured her," but you do know who you are. you are Mina. But now you also have a responsibility now that you know that your kingdom is in trouble, you must go help your people."

" and how can I do that?" Mina said with sadness and anger.

" you must do that for yourself, and you must believe you can do it or else your people will be doomed at the mercy of an evil wizard forever."

Mina looked at him with sadness and still tears in her eyes ," but how will I even get there ? Please tell me if you know the way."

The white deer look towards some two big hills ," do you see those hills over there?" he asked her.

" yes." she answered him.

" between those two hills, lies your kingdom just go beyond those two hills and you will be there." he said, as he gave her the directions.

"But Hiran will you not come with me?" Mina asked him with concern.

" you forget so easily I am always with you even when you cannot see me I am there." he answered her.

She wanted to thank him, but the deer had already disappeared. She realized what she had to do. She went back to her cottage and told Gilbert what she had learned. Gilbert did not want his daughter to leave at first but realized she did have a duty to make to her people. It was her responsibility. when she'll head, his friend was going on a trip he decided to go with her and he wanted Maisy and Isaac to stay with Gilbert in case anything happened. Gilbert packed her lunch for his daughter gave her clothes so she wouldn't be recognized and told her to keep her necklace and sword hidden.
Mina promised her adopted father that she would do everything he said, and all of her and her Fox friend Geo went.

Geo looked at his friend and ask her ." so let me get this straight you're going back to your kingdom that you didn't know existed to save your people who you don't know from an evil wizard that you don't have a plan to defeat who has control over your land and people because it's your responsibility?"

She looked at them as they walked on ," yes, "she said. "That about sums it up." The two friends continued on their way, and they decided to take a break under a large tree.
