The Forest Queen

Finding Mina 

As soon as the sun was high overhead, the prince took some soldiers with him into the forest to go find Mina so that he could thank her for saving him. It felt like he went on for forever . At last he came to a little cottage in the middle of the forest and he knocked on the door. When Gilbert opened the door, he saw that it was the prince and wondered why he had come to their little cottage.

" prince Felix," Gilbert began. Gilbert recognized the prince because Gilbert sometimes had to go to the village market to buy food,"What are you doing here?" Gilbert asked the prince humbly.

Prince Felix explained to Gilbert, how he was attacked by bandits the other day, and how this mysterious young lady saved his life. Gilbert guessed who the young lady was because there's only one little lady he knew that saved innocent people. His daughter Mina.
At that moment, Mina appeared from the forest with Maisy,Geo, and Issac. She stood there in shock as she saw the prince with her father at the cottage door.

" Mina,where have you been?" Gilbert asked his daughter.

"Father," Mina said, trying to answer him." Geo fell in the river and I had to save him. That's why I was so late. Coming back home." she explained as she gestured toward the wet fox.

Everyone looked at the wet fox for a little while, and saw that Mina was telling the truth as Gilbert knew that his daughter wouldn't lie. Prince Felix was the one who broke the silence first.

" so your name is Mina." Prince Felix said to her with a grin.

" yeah but I don't know who you are." Mina said to him, unsure of who he was.

" Mina this is Prince Felix." Gilbert explained to her.

Mina looked up at the Prince and wondered what he wanted,"were you looking for something?" She asked him with a curious tone.

"Yes,I was really looking for you." Felix answered her with shyness as he turned red.

"You were looking for me?" She said with confusion,"Why?"

Geo gave the Prince an angry look on his face, he felt very uneasy about the Prince being with Mina. Geo was one of Mina's best friends and he was afraid where this was headed.

"Me and my family wanted to show you our gratitude for saving me so I wanted to give you this pouch of gold." Prince Felix continued his talk with Mina.

"So," she said to the Prince," you have my gratitude and respect." She replied as she lowered her head in a bow.

The Prince blushed as he said nothing but just looked at her with kindness in his eyes,Gilbert noticing his attraction to her suggested a walk that way they would have fun and get to know one another. As Mina and Prince Felix walked away, Geo just looked at them with a sad look on his face and his little fox ears are down. A little while later, Geo went to the stream to find Issac and Maisy who were munching on blueberries.

"Maisy! Issac!" Geo shouted as he ran to them.

"Geo what's wrong?" Issac asked him as he turned to look at him.

Geo was panting," I'm telling you guys this stinks worse than a skunk's rear end!"

Maisy swallowed the berries as she talked,"Geo just come out with it! What is the problem? We're in the middle of lunch." She told the out of breath fox.

Geo just said that he had something to discuss with them and all three of them huddled up and started to talk about Mina's new friend.
