Confrontation

I walked into the room where everyone was always at. I was about to take my seat by L, when Light grabbed my wrist. 

"We need to talk," he stated. 

Luckily Misa wasn't there and I reluctantly went. We walked outside into the hallway. I leaned against the wall and he stood in front of me and stared into my eyes. I looked at his golden brown ones. 

"Why have you been avoiding me?" he asked. 

"A-Avoiding you?" I stuttered. Great, now he knows I'm lying. I bit my lip. 

"You're a terrible liar. Tell me the truth...please," he said. I didn't know what to do. I looked away and focused on a random door. He turned my head back to face him. 

"Did I do something?" he asked. I shook my head.

"No," I said. 

"Then what's wrong? Is it Misa?" he asked and I looked to the ground. 

"What did she do?" he asked. I didn't answer. It was silent and very tense. "You should go. L may wonder where you are," he stated. I nodded and left. I took my seat next to L once I entered the room. 

"Is everything okay?" L asked. 

"Yeah. Everything's fine" I smiled. He returned the smile. That smile made me feel warm and happy. I quickly went back to work.

Light's POV

As if on cue, Misa walks through the door when (Y/N) left. She runs over to me and hugs me. I push her away. 

"Light, what's wrong?" she asked.

"What did you do to (Y/N)?" I asked. 

"What do you mean?" She asked. Faking an innocent look. 

"Don't play dumb with me," I stated. She had a frown. 

"She told you," she stated coldly. 

"No she didn't. Tell me what happened," I demanded. 

"I gave her a little scare. It's not like it meant anything," she said. 

"Well apparently it did because she's been avoiding me," I said. 

"Light...you act like you like her. You do don't you?" She asked. I didn't say anything. 

"Light, you were mine!" she exclaimed. 

"If I remember correctly, I never claimed you as mine," I spat. She had a pained expression which quickly turned to anger. "If you dare do anything to harm (Y/N)...."I said, but didn't finish, knowing she would get what I'm saying. Instead she just left. I walked back into the room.

Your POV

It started getting late and all that was left was Light, L, and me. "Do you need any help?" I asked. 

"No, we got it. Thanks," Light said and smiled at me. I smiled back and gave a short nod before exiting the room and building. On my way home I heard footsteps. I turned around to see Misa. 

"Hey (Y/N)," she said with a scary smile. 

"Um, hey," I nervously said back. She gave a giggle. 

"Light's mine. And with you soon out of the way he will always be mine," she said and brought out a book. From the light the street light gave I could see a reflection of the light from a pen. 

"W-What are you doing?" I asked. 

"If you haven't known, I'm the Second Kira. Not that it would matter that you know," she laughed, but then suddenly stopped. She dropped her book and pen. She then fell herself and I ran over to her. I took her wrist and checked for a pulse. There was nothing. I grabbed her phone since I left mine at home and went through her contacts until I found Light. I quickly called. After the third ring he picked up. 

"Misa, I thought I made it clear-" he began. 

"Light! This is (Y/N)!" I interrupted. 

"(Y/N)? Is everything okay?!" He asked worriedly. 

"Misa's dead!" I exclaimed.
