I walked up to the fountain and sat on the ledge. I turned and looked at the water, saw my reflection and sighed. No doubt that my heart was racing. I ran my fingers through the surface and turned back around. I picked up a flower and twirled it around.

"(Y/N)" L called and I looked up to see both Light and L. I got up and dropped the flower.

"H-Hey," I greeted. My heart was racing. My stomach was in knots and I felt as if I was shaking.

"Look, if you don't want to do this you don't have to. If you need more time we'll understand," Light gave a reassuring smile.

"No. I need to do this," I stated and let out a sigh.

"Look, I care very much for both of you, and honestly, I'm amazed that you two return the feelings I have, but beside that point," I paused for a second and sighed. "You both know why you're here so I shouldn't have to explain that," I continued.

"(Y/N)....I could give you everything you've ever wanted," Light said.

"I would never do anything to harm you," L said. This was way too hard. They were both sweet, I loved being around both, and I felt safe. The sun was setting, emanating an orange glow. I looked down. I know that, if I pick one, I'll hurt the other. I looked up.

"Who is it?" Light asked and I could tell he was anxious to know. I bit my lip before answering.

"L." He looked over to me and smiled. A smile that was mine. I glanced at Light and saw the expression go from anger to hurt. I quickly looked back at L and walked over to him.

"I'll see you later, (Y/N)," Light quietly said and walked off. I looked down in guilt and I soon felt a finger lift my chin up causing me to lock eyes with L.

"Don't worry about him. Alright?" He asked and I smiled. He returned the smile and kissed me. I couldn't help but melt into the kiss. I forgot all of my problems and wrapped my arms around his neck. He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me closer. I pulled away a little with a blush and a smile.

"I never knew you had this side," I smirked.

"Maybe you shouldn't judge people," He smirked back and kissed me again. I pulled back a little.

"It's getting late. Is Akio in jail?" I asked.

"Yes, he is. You should be safe," he said and I clenched his shirt.

"Alright I'll walk you home," he smiled and we started walking. I grabbed his hand and we walked to my apartment.

We soon arrived and I unlocked the door.

"I'll see you tomorrow," he said.

"Why don't you stay? Please?" I pleaded like a five year old. He chuckled.

"Alright," he smiled and walked in. I shut the door and we walked into the living room.

"Make yourself at home," I kindly insisted. He sat on the couch and I sat next to him. I turned on the T.V. and looked over at L, who seemed glued to the screen. I giggled and turned it to a horror movie.

It got quiet and then there was a jump-scare. I jumped and grabbed onto L's arm. He chuckled.

"I would have never guess that you were scared of a movie," he teased.

"Yeah? Well, maybe you shouldn't judge people," I stuck my tongue out at him and he chuckled. He moved a strand of hair behind my ear. I kissed him and it took him by surprise, but he kissed back. He leaned back so that I was on top of him. He pulled me closer and deepened the kiss. He trailed kisses down my neck and nibbled on the "spot", causing me to let a moan escape my lips. He moved back to my lips and gave me a passionate kiss before pulling away. I laid my head on his chest and listened to his heart beat. His steady breathing lulled me to sleep.

L's POV
I watched (Y/N)'s sleeping figure. I smiled and brushed hair out of her face. She started to shiver and, conveniently, there was a blanket drapes at the top of the couch. I took it down and placed it on both of us. I couldn't bring myself to move. I managed to lean down and kiss her forehead.
"L..." I heard her whisper in her sleep. I smiled and closed my eyes. I, for the first time in a while, fell into a deep, soothing sleep.
