I was walking with Ray to my next class, arguing with him over whether misfits or black flag was the better band. I was about to yell at him before seeing a familiar face turning the corner into the hallway we were currently in. I quickly grabbed Ray's arm and dragged him into the bathroom next to us, covering his mouth with my other hand.

"What the fuck dude!" he yelled once I finally uncovered his mouth. "Shut the hell up or i'll kill you." I whispered back, moving ever so slightly and peeking out of the bathroom door, checking if he was still there.

"Okay, what is this about." Ray sighed. "You know that cop that questioned us?" Ray nodded. "He's in the fucking school, I just saw him." I said with wide eyes. "You're the one that has to worry, I'm not apart of this." Ray was about to walk out before I stopped him.

"Wait!"

He turned around and crossed his arms. "What do you want." I frowned. "I don't know what to fucking do!" I exclaimed while throwing my arms out. "Ditch or something I don't know what you want me to do, this is not my problem." And with that he walked away. I groaned in frustration as I tried to come up with a plan.

I started looking around the bathroom in hopes of finding something that would help me. I was about to give up but then I noticed the window above the sink was slightly open. I debated if I actually wanted to do this before discretely climbing up onto the sink and pushing the window open as far as it could go.

I smiled and held onto the windowsill, using all my strength to pull myself up and out of the window. I dropped a couple feet down but the thick layer of snow that formed protected me from hurting myself. I felt a rush of adrenaline spread throughout my body and I started to laugh as I realized what I've just done.

I was looking down at the snow before gearing voices coming from inside the school. I let out a quiet gasp before starting to run through the deep, heavy snow. the snow was making it nearly impossible to even move, I began to sweat, the frosty air not changing the way I was thinking.

I could've sworn I heard officer Way's voice and I violently whipped my head around only to find a sidewalk covered in ice. I groaned and debating on whether I should continue treading through the snow or take the chance of falling on the ice a million times over and over again.

My brain felt all jumbled as I recalled everything that had happened in this short week. I ultimately decided to stay in the snow, I registered the fact that if I went on the sidewalk I would be in front of classroom windows.

After what felt like a year, I finally reached the salted sidewalk near the road and started to initiate my escape. I couldn't feel my feet and legs up to my knees; I started to regret my decision and realized my parents would find out eventually.

I felt like throwing up as I began to slow down, reaching the woods where I could hide in. I reached in my pocket and grabbed my phone, unlocking it and going to my contacts where I clicked on my favorite cousins contact. I cringed at the frosty wind blowing on my face before quickly typing a "come get me." To Toby, telling him where I was and smiling as he replied in a matter of seconds.

A couple minutes later I saw my cousin pull up in his car and stop on the side of the road. I got up and took another glance at the school before making my way over to the car and into the passengers seat. "You you wanna tell me why you ran out of school?" I heard toby say as I buckled my seatbelt. I blushed. "I can't tell you."

Toby playfully punched my arm before laughing. "You can tell me anything, I'm not the kind of person to tell your parents the teenage stuff you do." I put my hands over my face in an embarrassed manner before putting them back on my lap and explaining my situation, incorporating the lie about the cigarettes into it.

"And yeah, I tried to get Ray to help me but he wanted nothing to do with it... so I freaked out and here I am." I was ready for Toby to scream but instead I heard him gasping for air from laughing. "You idiot, the worst the cop can do is scold you, you didn't need to do that." He exclaimed. My face went an even deeper shade of red and I frowned.

"Oh."

"Normal Frank behavior." He said before starting the car and pressing on the gas. "What am I gonna tell my par-" Toby shushed me before I could finish my sentence. "I'll tell them you called me because you were having a panic attack and wanted me to pick you up." I nodded and looked out the front window while fidgeting with the hem of my shirt.

After a couple of minutes I spoke up again. "What do I do if I see him again?" I asked. Toby shrugged. "Continue with whatever you were doing, he's probably already forgotten about you." Toby's answer reassured me and a comfortable silence washed over the car for a couple more minutes.

"Wanna go to my place?" I smiled and nodded.

When we arrived at his house, we went inside and he turned on his Xbox and held up two controllers, smirking at me in the process. I walked over to him and snatched the controller out of his hand, now feeling competitive. "I'm gonna kick your ass." He said as the call of duty logo flashed on the screen.

"You wish."

We played for an hour or two before the game ended and we saw the real winner. "HAHA BITCH! I TOLD YOU I'D WIN." Toby yelled while jumping and flipping me off. "I don't play this game a lot, you had an advantage anyway." I whined. "Practice more then." I rolled my eyes and set the controller down. "How about we play a game I'm actually good at." I suggested.

"Fine, but only because I love you."
