"Just who do you think you are!? Don't get full of yourself!" Victor said as he watched kashin Koji walk to jigen and bend down to him. "We've been working very carefully to hide our presence this far but judging by the situation I feel time is now ripe" Koji said. "I am of the same opinion as Koji. What think you my fellow inners?" Jigen asked and everyone but Victor agreed. "I will contact the outer. Is that alright elder?" Koji asked Victor. "Wait hold on!" Victor said but jigen already stared to disappear.
"That is all. Remember the vessel is the key to fulfilling our most cherished wish as the Kara. Recover it at all cost" he said then fully vanished. The inners all did the same. Jigen then made his way to Amados laboratory. Both Amado and jigen stared at deepas head that was preserved in liquid. "Victor and deepa sure had some foolish ideas" Amado said. "The information you've given me has been useful" jigen said.
"That's because this guy told me everything. It was a bit of a struggle to regenerate his brain. So what do you want to do?" Amado asked and looked at jigen. "It's not like we'll benefit from keeping him alive" he said and turned around. Amado agreed and prepared to discard of deepas head. "He used to make me laugh" jigen said. "That's funny. I didn't think you were capable of laughter" Amado replied.
Jigen gave a small smile as he remembered solana saying the exact same thing about him and left the room. He then made his way to the living space and sat down. He rested his fingers on his head and stared at his lap awaiting kashin kojis arrival. He thought about solanas past. Her parents to be exact. An Otsusuki creating a child with a human was the same thing kaguya did. Which eventually led to both her and abekis downfall.
A mistake only fools make was what he thought of it. Those two Otsusuki being the biggest fools. Isshiki would never put himself in such a position as they did. He never once considered thinking of another as anything more than a tool. He didn't understand the point of it as it showed no real value to anything. Having unnecessary feelings and flustering over someone is a waste of time.
Suddenly flashback of solanas unusual behavior like getting flustered and odd reactions to what he said or did appeared across his mind. He didn't move or blink as he stared at nothing. "Could this girl-" he began to think before someone walked in. Jigen looked up to see Koji. "I've finished dealing with Victor" he said. Jigen had assigned Koji with discarding of the old man since he tampered with his plans and were no longer useful to him.
"You work quickly" jigen said. "I'm going to contact the outer to start searching for the vessel" Koji said. "About that. We've determined the precise coordinates of the crashed airship. It's located in the forest region to the north of the land of fire. Eliminate every last person who has seen the airship. We don't want anyone to know about the vessel yet. Leave no shred of evidence behind" jigen said as Koji started to disappear. "I understand" he said.
The room fell quiet again. Nothing but the water running down the fancy wall entered jigen ears as He thought back to the situation with solana. He understood she's half human meaning she would produce emotions as a human should. That was the entire reason of her birth as abeki wished. So far she's shown all sorts of emotions. Sadness, fear, anger, joy but sometimes the way she acts only when jigen says or has done certain things it's as if she's fond over him.
Years ago when this..problem was brought to his attention he brushed it off thinking there couldn't be that chance she might be developing something toward him. But now he can't avoid the situation any longer. He needs to know right now what's she thinking and obliterate any sort of relationship she has in her head.
Jigen stood up and made his way for his room. When he entered solana looked up at him and her face lit up. That stopped jigen right in his tracks as he stared at her. Solana noticed the almost concerned expression he was giving her. "Why are you looking at me like that. Did..I do something wrong?" She asked. Jigen walked to the couch and sat down. "Solana. What do you think of me?" He asked looking at the girl.
"What do you mean?" Solana replied and tilted her head. "I'll put it differently. Do you get flustered around me?" He blankly said. Solana stared at him as her face slowly distributed a pink color. "What-i I suppose" she stumbled her words out which jigen took note of. "And why is that?" He asked. Solana eyes widened. "Why..? I don't know" she said. "You have complete control of your own body and You don't know why you get flustered?" He asked.
"Why is he questioning me about this? And all so suddenly" she thought. She watched jigen keep his gaze on her. Her face darkened as she looked away. "Why does he stare at me! I don't understand" she thought. Jigen continued staring at her. "Are you trying to hide from the question by avoiding my gaze?" he said. Solana slowly looked to him finding his eyes shut.
