HyoJin stiffened. She'd never been good with meeting her boyfriend's parents or family. (well maybe it wasn't that but actually that she'd never done it before).
As the lady hugging Jimin stepped back to look at HyoJin, he introduced her as his girlfriend.
"Hello, nice to meet you." HyoJin smiled shyly, as she bowed.
Jimin's halmoni cocked her head to the side briefly in surprise as she glanced at HyoJin, the action barely noticable, before she broke out into a pleasant grin.
"Oh, hello HyoJin, nice to meet you." she beamed, as she looked at HyoJin who just smiled nervously and bowed again.
"Wah, our Jimin-ah has caught a pretty one!" Jimin's halmoni whispered into Jimin's ear with her nose scrunched up, loud enough for HyoJin to hear.
Jimin smiled his famous eye smile shyly, as he scratched the back of his head. "Thank you Halmoni.." he said coyly.
Once invited into the house, HyoJin stood close beside Jimin who found this cute, as he looped his fingers through hers.
"Don't be nervous. She's sweet." Jimin whispered into HyoJin's ear, giving her goosebumps. It didn't matter if he was being sincere or seductive, he always made her get goosebumps being that close.
"Is she your mother or father's mother?" HyoJin asked quietly, as they entered the lounge she was leading them to.
"Make yourselves at home." Jimin's halmoni announced, as she made her way into what HyoJin presumed was the kitchen behind the sliding door.
"Father's." Jimin replied nodding, as he and HyoJin sat down on the leather couch.
HyoJin leaned in close to him, to whisper, "why isn't she saying anything about this situation? Our faces aren't obvious enough?" she questioned, and Jimin cocked his head to the side in thought.
"I'm not sure, maybe-" he began, before being cut off by his halmoni's voice.
"Jimin-ah, can you help me in here for a sec?" she cooed from the kitchen.
"Oh, coming halmoni!" he replied, putting his hand up as a 'wait here' signal to HyoJin.
"What happened?" Jimin's halmoni whisper shouted, after the sliding door had been closed.
"I kind of.. Um.. well we both got into fights.." Jimin trailed off, biting his lip. Although his halmoni was the sweetest, she never failed to frighten Jimin at times.
She tutted, and then smacked him on the back of the head earning a 'aish' in response.
"Silly boy! What was it this time?" she asked in annoyance.
"The same reason as last time.." he admitted, his head down.
The last time he had gotten into a fight was when his halmoni was visiting in Seoul. His haraboji was busy in Busan so he was unable to come at that time.
Jimin had come home that day, around about a year ago now, with cuts and upcoming bruises on his face. When asked what had happened, he said he was standing up for his girlfriend because he loved her. His anger issues were much worse back then.
After lectures about his girlfriend being no good and not worth it from his parents who had met the girlfriend Gayoon once, he stormed out the house.
His halmoni called after him, afraid of what he might do in his state of anger, but he had already sped off down the road.
When Jimin arrived at his destination
which was Gayoon's house, he knocked on the front door. No answer. He turned the handle, and the front door clicked open.
