It's the little things in life, you realize, that matter the most when they're absent. Jimin had said that to me yesterday after school as we walked to the arcade. It was out of the blue, and he'd been alright at school even with the constant questioning from people. I knew he wasn't alright though, deep down. Watching HyoJin's dance group perform without her last period yesterday must have reminded him of her again, but it's not like she's ever left his mind as far as I can tell.
It's been just over two weeks, and HyoJin's still in a coma. Her condition hasn't changed. The guys and I still visit her frequently.. man, I miss her.
Jimin's clinging at straws, holding hope and trying his best to put on a happy front but most the time it's like the life has been sucked out of him and he's empty. It wasn't like when HyoJin and him broke up because of his stupid mistake; he could actually try win her back then - which he did.
But now, he can't get her back. He has to wait for her. He can't shake her awake, and jeopardize her health. There really is nothing he can do. I think what's hurting him the most is the fact that he can't see her walking around, smiling, living, breathing on her own. It's like she's dead, in a way.

"Oh my god! Hello!" HyoJin changed the pitch of her voice, the frequency becoming higher.
She was crouching as she looked through the window of the pet shop at a puppy with bright white fur and shiny blue eyes.
She tapped on the glass and it raised its paws, trying to get out as she pouted and looked up at me. "Jimin," she gestured to the puppy, "look at it! It's so cute!"
"Should we go in and have a look?" I raised my eyebrow and she nodded furiously, linking her arm with mine and dragging me inside the shop.
When we reached the small glass incubator the puppy was in, she squealed and put her fingers through the holes in the mesh at the top. "Aw, you look so soft." She smiled, trying to reach her fingers further, and the puppy made muffled yelps as it tried to jump up to her.
I jogged over to the counter as HyoJin made a fuss over the small creature, and I got one of the workers' attention. "Excuse me, my girlfriend really likes that puppy over there. Would she be able to hold it please?"
I returned to HyoJin with the worker following behind me, "miss, would you like to hold it?" He asked her.
She gasped. "Yes! Can I?"
He nodded and removed the mesh lid, lifting up the fluffy puppy and handing it to HyoJin. She squealed a little more, running her fingers through its soft fur.
I had to admit, it was adorable.
I myself ended up speaking with that 'animal voice' and stroked its head as HyoJin gestured to my phone in my pocket. "Take a picture!" She grinned, and I took my phone out and took a picture of her holding it.
