Chapter 4: Sorry.

PB's P.O.V

"So, mind telling me about what happened between you and FP?" Finn asked me. I suddenly felt nervous and my heart beated rapidly.

"Not at all .. I'll tell you. Just don't change what you think about me, Finn." I stuttered. I don't want to ruin my image. We sat down at a nearby log. Then I started.

"Okay so, I didn't trust people easily so I spy on everyone. I used to think people always needed my help and I worry too much about them. Flame Princess is my top concern..she's..destructive ya know. She could destroy the world easily. So I put a spy cam on Cinnamon Bun. I spied on her for a long time ever since she was let out her lamp." I paused, looking at Finn. Trying to find any sign of emotion. None. I close my eyes them I continued.

"Once that I knew that she had these ancient giants in the most sacred place of the Fire Kingdom, I decided to do something since she could wipe out almost everyone and everything." I said. I inhaled deeply before I continued my story.

"I made Ice King freeze or temporarily lower the temperature of the Fire Kingdom so FP would call me for help then I could reach the ancient giants. From there, I deactivated most of the giants then we fought. She has one giant left because I let her. But you know, FP taught me something. To let loose and be free for once. So...yeah." I looked at Finn waiting for a reaction. He looked at me, I can see the surprise in his eyes.

"Woah. That's alot to take in, with the fact that Ice King helped you and lowering the temp of their kingdom could mean death to them... But I'm glad that you learned a thing from FP. You're better this way, free of worries and responsibilities." He said with a warm smile.

"Glad you understood." I said. Silence took over us. It was becoming uncomfortable. He was staring into the trees, I can see that he's perplexed. I don't know why but he looks adorable when he's concentrating. I decided to just think about what I used to be, what we used to be.

Finn used to be that silly little boy that likes me. I knew he liked me before since he's pretty obvious.

But I was like, 18 (physically), the age gap is pretty huge and I was too busy thinking about my kingdom to think about relationships.

But now, I'm free. Finn and I now hang alot and its not awkward, unlike before. I think I need to say sorry to Finn.

"Hey Finn?"
"Yeah?" He looks at me, his face relaxing a little.

"Listen, I'm sorry about being too mature, boring and too responsible before.. And I'm sorry about hurting you when you had a huge crush on me, I was just, too busy to think of that and the age gap..I'm sorry about every single thing I used to be." I apologized as we just held each other's gaze.

"You don't need to apologize PB, I like you for being you, before and now. PB, you are amazing, don't ever forget that. Besides, thats in the past." He said as he smiled at me.

"I'm glad you accept me for who I was, am and who I want to be. You're a great friend." I replied with a shy smile.

We stared at each other. I never noticed how blue his eyes are. I get lost in his icy blue eyes. I feel safe when I know he's around. Like, he's .. my hero.
