Chapter 11: Preparation

PB's P.O.V

I heard knocks on my door, causing me to wake up. I yawn and stretch, check myself in the mirror then opened the door.

"Good Morning Princess. Sorry to wake you up. It is 2pm already. You over slept." Peppermint Butler said while handing me the tray of food. Oh shoot, its really late!

"Heh, don't blame me, Marceline made me stay late at her house." I retorted.

"You need to be ready and go downstairs by 4." Pep Butt sternly said as he handed me a list of stuff to do. Hella long. Ugh.

"Yeah whatever." I shut the door then started eating my food. After eating, I washed up. I put on an old shirt and some shorts since I needed to prepare things for the party.
I put my hair in a high ponytail then my phone rang.

"Hello?" I said.
"Hi Princess, um I'll be going early because I have nothing better to do here. Jake went grocery shopping to make the food to be served at your party." Finn explained.

I smiled.
"Schmowzow! See ya in a bit!" I checked the time, its 4 already. I walked to the square and waited for him.

As I waited I reviewed the list of everything I need. The materials, tables and other things were delivered by Mr. Starchy.

"Hello Princess!" I heard Finn say as he swept me off my feet, carrying me bridal style.
"Heya Finn! Let's get started." We reviewed everything that was needed to do, put up the dancing lazers, the lights, fireworks, the music, and food.

We got Mr. Cupcake, Marceline, BMO, Lady, and other peeps to help us. Marceline and BMO works on the music. Lady and Jake work on food. Mr. Cupcake and others work on miscellanous. Finn and I work on the lazers, lights and fireworks.

"So, the blue lazer goes here so that it would create an effect with the orange one." I told Finn as I stepped up the ladder and put the blue lazer on a beam.

"PB! What about the fireworks? When will we light them up?" Finn asked as he put the box of colorful firework rockets down.

"Midnight. And um put them over there." I ordered while pointing at a spot far behind the trees so it wont cause fire.

We did more work. After an hour and a half, we're finished. We all took a step back and admired how great my party set up looks. I wiped a bead of sweat as I stood up a chair to announce something.

"Attention everyone. I would like to thank each and everyone of you guys for putting in much effort for preparing for this party. Thank you so much. Now, go ahead and prepare yourselves for the party!" I announced.

"Finn, would you like to get ready at my place? I mean, you brought clothes so.. Haha" I asked Finn as we walked to the palace.

"Yeah sure, Jake won't mind." He said with a smile. We walked upstairs, led Finn to the guest room then went to my room. I layed down, tired from all the work.

I went to the bathroom, stripped then I bathe, exfoliating my bubblegum skin and contitioning my gummy hair. After a while, I was done pampering myself.

I put on a fitted neon pink party dress that reached above my knees and white heels. I curled my hair then put on my crown. I walked to the guest room to see if he's ready.

I knocked at his door. He opened it. He was wearing his blue shirt underneath a darker blue flannel, and his usual shorts, only longer. I stared at him. Oh how adorable he looks. I tried to hide my blush.

"Uh, hey..you look beautiful." Finn commented. We shyly smiled at each other.
"Shall we go?" He asked, handing me his arm with a smile.
"Yes we shall." I grabbed his arm then we walked to the party. I can see that people are starting to come, the lazers and lights were arranged, and Marceline is starting to play music.
