Chapter 8: Lord Luigi

"Ahhh Lord Luigi, welcome home sire." The guard on the left exclaims as I approach the gate. I freeze in place as I feel my cheeks burn. Did he just say... welcome home ? "No need to show us your castle pass, King Bowser has been reminding us all day. Saying you were bound to show up today and we should welcome you home and all that." He looks to the guard on the right before nodding his head, they both bow down before me.

"W- that is not necessary guys, no need to bow or anything okay !!" I say in a panicked tone, I've never had this kind of treatment before and it's honestly overwhelming from what I'm used too.

"Of course, Lord Luigi." They both mutter before standing up and opening the gate for me. I let out a soft sigh before walking through the gate.

"Welcome, Luigi." My gaze meets bowsers, he's standing their looking a little nervous and it seems like he did his hair ?? He is trying to look good for me. I blush a little noticing... why would he...? It seems he notices my blush and I'm turn that causes him to get a bit flustered as well.

"Hello bowser, you look nice this afternoon !" I say very professionally, I wouldn't want him to get the wrong idea. We are just friends after all and I haven't even told him I'm gay yet. So it's not like he knows.... So why is he getting all done up for me ? God I'm so obvious aren't I..... I was probably staring at his cute face and his big muscles when I first saw him..... JUST LIKE IM DOING NOW AHHH. I feel my face get insanely hot when I catch myself. I turn around quickly pretending to sneeze to get ahold of myself.

"Bless you, and thank you ! You look rather exceptional as well. My lord." I come back from my fake sneeze and give him a smile.

"When I received your letter, and the castle pass I must say I was a little surprised... I've never dreamt of being treated as royalty. I must have made a rather good impression of myself." I say walking towards the large Koopa, I can see his nervousness grow as I get closer. "What's wrong...? I can see your not feeling normal..?"

"I uhhh, just uhhh." His face grows red a little as he looks around trying to find the correct words to say."

"Ah hello Lord Luigi." Kamek appears behind me surprising both bowser and I. I can tell
Bowser sighs a breath of relief before speaking.

"Oh hello Kamek, I'm sure you've met the acquaintance of Luigi here. He is now a member of the royal court here. He may come and go as he chooses and everyone may refer to him as Lord Luigi." He says with a smile, I find myself questioning why am I wanting him to embrace me from behind...? Am I that touch starved or.... Is it...?

"Of course Luigi. From the Mushroom kingdom..." Kamek says judgmentally looking down at me from his broom. God please just go away already, I don't know what Kameks deal is but I'm already getting tired of it.

"Thank you for the warm welcome Kamek. King Bowser here was just getting ready to show me around." Bowser looks at me blushing a bit with shock on his face as if to say ' I was...? How did he know ?'

"Ahh well I'll leave you too it then. Have a splendid afternoon. I'm sure I'll be seeing you again." He gives a smile before flying off in a hurry. I hope he warms up to me a bit. I don't want my stays here to feel unwelcome just because of one Flying Koopa. I hear bowser clear his throat just before a gust of wind blows causing my hair to flow to the left.

"Well, funny you said that about the tour because that is the actual plan." He says chuckling nervously. I look up at him, I'm so close my neck hurts having to look up so much.

"Well I would hoped so" I giggle out, "this place is to big to not have a tour I'm just honored to have the King himself show me around." I say smiling as I back up a bit looking around. "I know that way is your beautiful garden, and I'm assuming this big giant door leads to the inside of the castle. Sooo I guess that's all I know so far heh."

"Well, since you know the garden so well we won't visit there until the very end. How about we get started ?" He asks placing his hand out, I know he's insinuating for me to grab it and have him lead me but what if I...?

"I wouldn't mind that." I smile at him before touching his hand once as a friendly gesture. His eyes widen and his cheeks flush a bit at the embarrassment. I giggle to myself watching his expression.
