My friends and I continued to argue with Leo about how Equestria Girls was an amazing series but he was stubborn as ever. So, eventually, we gave up and the topic switched to movies that we enjoyed. "How do you like Gone with the Wind!?" Ella exclaimed, "It's a four-hour movie!" "Um, actually, it's three hours and fifty-eight minutes," I corrected her. "Oh, sorry," she snarked, "I didn't realize there was a two-minute difference." "Oh come on!" I cried, "Someone backs me up!" "Sorry," Leo snorted, "That movie sounds worse than Titanic." "Shut up," I told him, "We already established you have awful taste in music." Leo just rolled his eyes. "I've got to agree with Ella on this one," Jack confessed, "I enjoy old movies, I watched "Rebecca" and "Mame" with you but "Gone with the Wind" is way too long." "Traitor," I pouted. "You guys already know I wouldn't be able to sit through that," Anna hummed.

I sighed in defeat; these people had no taste. "If we're talking about good movies though," Ella said, "James Bond is top tier." "James Bond?" Leo questioned, "John Wick is better." "No way," Ella stated, "There's hardly any talking in that, it's just people fighting each other." "Exactly," he grinned, "That's what makes it good." "No," she disagreed. "Okay," Leo said, "Then how's about Terminator?" "Terminator is good," she nodded, "That is a franchise." "What about Night at the Musem?" Jack asked, "Does anyone like that?" I shrugged, "It's decent but not one I'd watch more than once." "Oh right," he sighed, "You like movies that take half a day to watch." I scoffed, "Fine be that way. See who helps you next time Ella pokes fun at you." Jack stuck his tongue out in response and turned away from me. "I think Night at the Musem is a good movie," Anna comforted him, "But my favorite is Thirteen Going on Thirty."

"Thirteen Going on Thirty is a great movie!" I agreed, "Didn't we all watch that together?" "We did," Ella nodded, "We watched it at one of our sleepovers, it was funny." "It was," Jack smiled. "Was that before or after we caught the hamburgers on fire?" I asked. "I think it was the reason why they caught on fire," Anna admits, "We got distracted by the movie and forgot they were in the pan." "You caught hamburgers on fire?" Leo asked in disbelief. "Yep," Jack confirmed. "Then you had no right to keep Ella and I from making those cookies! You've caught stuff on fire too!" Ella gasped, "You're right! They're hypocrites! We should have been given a second chance!" "You two were planning to burn the kitchen down," I argued, "Not baking cookies!" "How do you know that?" Leo questioned, "Hm?" "Because you were talking about it," Jack replied, "All three of us heard you." "Bull shit," Ella said, "You just don't want us to be redeemed."

I rolled my eyes, "Seriously?" "Yep," she smirked. I sighed, "You two are so annoying." "Pfft, you love us," Leo scoffed. I wrinkled my nose, "Unfortunately." "Aw," Leo crooned, "Did you hear that Ella? He admits it!" "Of course, he did," Ella smirked, "He's a softie." Sticking my tongue out at them, I turned my attention to my watch. Six fifteen, four more hours before we stop for the night. I glanced over at Chase to see what he was up to. He was talking with his brother in a hushed voice about something. I frowned, what are they talking about? I blocked out what my friends were saying and tried to tune in on Chase's conversation. He wouldn't be talking quietly if it was something we could hear. He's up to something, he has to be. Try as I might, I couldn't make out any of his words. I let out a huff of frustration, if I get too close, they'll know what I'm up to, but I can't hear anything from back here. Maybe if I just scooch up a bit, they won't notice, and I can hear what they're saying.

I inched forward a bit trying to get close enough, so I could hear what they say without making it obvious I'm eavesdropping. I still couldn't hear. I moved forward just a bit more... and tripped over a root. I fell face first into the forest floor and got a mouth full of leaves. Ella burst out laughing, "Are you okay?" She asked once she'd calmed down. "Yep," I said spitting out leaves. "You should pay more attention to where you're going," Chase stated looking down at me. "I'll try," I told him as I stood up. I have the feeling he figured out what I was trying to do. He glared at me; I glared back. He knew what I was doing. We continued walking and I lapsed back into my friends' conversation. Every once in a while, I noticed Chase glancing back at me. He's suspicious of me now, I shouldn't have tried anything. Now he knows I'm on to him. Four hours passed in a blur. Before I knew it, we were stopping for the night. "So, what's in the bag for dinner?" Leo asked. "Let's see," I said unzipping the bag. Reaching in, I began to pull out sandwiches.
