"Hot dogs aren't a sandwich!" I argued. "Yes, they are!" Anna protested, "It's meat in between two slices of bread!" "NO! Not all people eat hotdogs with buns AND the hotdog isn't in between them it's wedged! There for it is not a sandwich!" I told her. "Yes, it is!" She retorted, "If something is in between bread it's a sandwich!" "But it's not in between!" I shouted, "It's wedged! There's a difference!" "Here what about this," Jack suggested, "Cereal is a soup." "NO, IT'S NOT!" Anna and I yelled at the same time. "Exactly," Jack stated, "Now agree on that and forget the other argument. I'm tired of hearing this debate." "Me too!" Carmen called back, "It's incredibly annoying." Anna and I glared at each other. "We'll settle this another day," I told her. "That we will," she replied. "Perfect," Jack clapped, "Now what other non-controversial topic can we talk about?" "Politics?" I suggested jokingly.

"NO!" He yelled, "Not those!" I laughed, "I was joking." "Don't joke like that," he replied, "I get enough of that topic during election year. I don't need more of it." Anna smirked, "Now I feel like talking about it just to annoy you." "Please don't," Jack begged, "I will go to the mall with you and stay as long as you want just talk about that subject." Anna's eye sparkled mischievously, "I'm going to hold you to that." "Shouldn't have said that," I said elbowing him. Jack groaned, "I'm doomed." "Yes." Anna said seriously, "You are." "Can we please talk about something else?" he pouted. "Sure," I laughed, "What about... first thing you plan on doing when we get back?" "Take a shower," Jack said immediately, "I smell rancid." I laughed, "That you do. Anna?" "Hm," she hummed, "I don't know. Lock myself in my house for a week and refuse to leave?"

"Ooo," I said, "That sounds like fun. I'm with Jack though, I'm taking a shower first." "I wonder if Ella's car is still in one piece," Jack pondered, "She'll be pissed if it's not." Anna's eyes widened, "Oh my gosh I completely forgot about her car!" "Don't remind her about it!" I told them, "You know how she gets when she thinks her car might be damaged." Jack shuddered, "Yeah." Ella can be... aggressive when it comes to her car. Very aggressive. "A WAY OUT!" Anna screamed pulling me out of my thoughts. She was pointing toward the side of the cornfield and sure enough, there was an opening that revealed an exit. Everyone sprinted to the exit. My mind yelled at me that if I didn't get there in time it would disappear, and I'd be trapped here forever. I knew that wasn't true, but I felt like it was. For all I know, if Anna hadn't seen it, we could be wandering this field forever. My legs were exhausted, all the non-stop walking and random sprinting was making them revolt. Well, I can say I did summer running. Emerging from the corn, I glanced around and found there was another cornfield in front of us and trees on either side.

There aren't many options are there? We either walk through another cornfield and hope we get out or go back to the trees. Neither is ideal. I wonder what Chase will choose. Speaking of which, where are Chase, Ella and Leo? I mean I didn't expect them to be waiting out here for us, but I did think they'd have made it out. Unless... they didn't. They could have been caught. They might not even be together. They could be going in opposite directions, or one could be dead or injured. If one got injured Chase wouldn't have taken them with him. They'd slow him down and he made it clear that won't happen. We need to find them. We need to find them now. "We should walk around the edges and see if we can find Ella and Leo," I said. "Chase too," Jack reminded me. "Yeah," I nodded, "Him too." "Can we sit and rest a bit?" Amelia asked, "I don't know about you guys, but I'm pooped." I looked around and saw the others nodding in agreement.

Sighing I nodded, "Yeah, we can." Plopping to the ground, I watched as everyone moved to the ground groaning. Now that I thought about it my feet were aching. It was nice that Margret gave us shoes, but they weren't made for running. I could feel every muscle in my legs aching, the last time I felt like this was... I don't know never? I should probably stretch; it'll help loosen the muscles. I began stretching while the others sat or lay on the ground. "Are you doing yoga?" Amelia asked as I stretched my calves. "No," I replied, "I'm stretching. It helps loosen your muscles and keeps them from getting sore." "It's too late for that," she snorted. "If you stretch them now it'll be better later," I told her. "I'll pass," she replied. I shrugged, "If you say so." We sat there for a while trying to recover, everyone needed a break from walking. After half an hour I stood up. "Come on," I said starting to pull Jack to his feet, "Let's find the others." He groaned, "Just a few more minutes?"
