Matt's Point of View
I didn't find Taylor last night so I had Dad agree to send out a few of our guys to look for the rest of the day. When I got home I told the guys everything about my Dad sending guys out and about the phone call I got from the O'Leary's.
"We need to go kill him." Declan exploded. He had been pacing in the kitchen the whole time I told them about Ronan's half-assed threat.
"We need to find Taylor first. Do you guys have any ideas where she would go?" I was trying to stay calm and be a good leader but it was getting harder the longer I went without her.
They both shook their heads. I wanted to send Declan to handle Taylor's dad but we needed to sit down and figure out what to do about the O'Leary's. The thought of them taking her terrified me. Her dad wasn't a huge concern of mine at the moment. As far as I knew they hadn't seen or spoken to each other in at least ten years.
The O'Leary's however needed to be dealt with, but my dad was right, we couldn't go after them just for a threat. If we did it would open up the door for so many families to come after mine for all the threats we have made but never had to follow through on.
Monday morning came fast and we still hadn't heard from Taylor. Madison called me early in the morning asking if I had seen or heard from her. The fact that TayTay hadn't even gone back to her apartment was concerning. We had to stick to our plan of just continuing on with our normal schedule and hoping she would show up.
We went into the office even though none of us felt like working. We had rescheduled all of our meetings for this week since we had bigger things going on. When we got to the office both Heather and Sophia said they hadn't seen Taylor yet this morning.
I only made it to lunch when I told the guys I was calling it a day. I had spent all morning calling every hotel in our area only to be told she wasn't there. A few of them told me they couldn't tell me if she was there or not due to policy, but that was only because my name wasn't attached to the business. I would have to send someone out to try and get the information out of those ones.
The guys agreed it was no use sitting in the office all day. So we went to my parent's place. Declan told the security guard at the office building to call the second he saw Taylor and not to rely on the word of Heather or Sophia. He clearly knew something I didn't, again.
I was starting to hate not knowing everything about our girl. Starting with where the fuck she was.
Taylor's Point of View
Turning my phone off when I got to the cemetery Sunday morning was a good idea. An even better idea was packing a bag to stay at a hotel.
I didn't bother turning my phone on to call for another ride, instead, I just hopped on a bus and stayed on until the last stop. I was just a little outside the north side of town when the driver called for the final stop. I walked down the road for a block before deciding on a decent hotel. I paid for a week, put a do not disturb sign on my door, and locked myself in a room. I ordered food through the hotel and only opened the door when it was brought up.
By Monday evening I figured I needed to turn my phone on and at least let Madison know that I was okay. It took a minute for my phone to catch up with all the missed calls and texts. I quickly glanced through the texts but they were all pretty much just different versions of where are you, just tell me that you're safe.
Before calling Mads I listened to at least one voicemail from everyone.
"This is the only message I'm going to leave you baby girl but that doesn't mean I don't love you." Declan's voice was a lot calmer than I expected, "I am worried about you but I know you are smart and know how to take care of yourself. I need to know you're safe, but more importantly, I need to know that you're alive. Come home when you can baby, I love you."
