Snotlout stole Astrid's Axe again. Why did he keep doing that anyway? "Did you really just say that to me?" After Astrid said that, she just... walked out? What did that mean? Heather went to talk to her, while I waited outside Snotlouts to see what was going to happen.

Turning, I could see Astrid throwing weapons out of her door. "Uh... Hiccup. Astrid's looking for something, and given the number of pointy things being thrown out, it's probably bludgeon."

Hiccup turned to Snotlout. "All right. Here's what you're gonna do. You're gonna get on your dragon, take (Y/n), and fly out of here immediately."

Snotlout laughed. "Yeah, right, I'm not afraid of her."

That was a mistake. "You said what?! Are you insane?" Tuff? Even Tuff was calling him insane? This must be bad.

Hiccup nodded at me as I called for Snow. "You should go. Now. It's literally the only chance you have. (Y/n), make sure he stays out of trouble." Giving my own nod, I followed Snotlout into the open sea. Or rather, flew behind him as he flew into a storm, yelling at Thor to punish him. This ended when his helm got struck by lightning and he fell off Hookfang. I fell off after him because Snow dodged him falling and spun a little too hard.

I coughed up seawater as I tried to tread enough to keep afloat. Something a little more troubling was headed our way. It wasn't something nice based on Snotlout's reaction. We tried to swim away, but they rather easily got hold of us. I was screaming in dragon tongue as I tried to get free, but that didn't get me anywhere.

When I woke, there were several women standing in the doorway. I screeched at them standing with my back to the wall. They tried to walk closer but I growled trying to get my point across. That was when a new woman walked in. "Calm yourself, young one. You are safe here. My Wingmaidens rescued you from a terrible storm. You are alive and well and on our island home." I continued to growl, eyes darting around to find any form of exit. "You spiked a fever in the night, but we were easily able to take care of it with our medicines. In addition, you are safe from all dragons while you are here. Now drink from this golden goblet. This is the purest of all herbal tea. It will help restore your strength."

She wasn't Mala, but she was telling the truth. The tea didn't smell wrong, so after they placed it on the ground and backed away from me, did I dare step closer. Taking the goblet, I smelled it again. The scent was familiar, almost like a fruit. Sitting down, I drank it slowly, then turned my attention back to the woman. Gobblet still in hand I stared at each other.

It took a bit for it to kick in, but I was pretty sure it was the same fruit. I loved that fruit so much that when she came back in, I purred. "You remind me of Mala, I like Mala. What was your name again?"

She smiled. "So you do speak, and that fruit you had on you was what I thought it was. I'm surprised it worked so well on calming you. Let's try this again, shall we. My name is Atali, and you are safe here, young Viking. Shall we take you back to your friend. This... Snotlout."

I smiled rolling away slightly. "I probably should see him. He is in trouble and it's my job to watch him. Make sure he stays out of trouble." She led me to a room where Snotlout was eating with several other women beside him. They looked unimpressed and done dealing with him.

He was talking about Astrid needing to take notes when she walked forward. "Mr. Snotlout, although we are honored to have you as our guest, your attitude towards women is completely unacceptable. It's no wonder this young one here says she's supposed to keep you out of trouble."

Snotlout shrugged. "Hey, I always talk like this. I dig chicks, uh, women..."

She was very calm. "And that is why you must respect them, revere them. Do you understand?" He was... really gross. He said he understood, but I didn't think he was listening. "Perfect. Get some rest. For this evening you will be the guest of honor at our 'Feast of Freya.' We've been preparing the sacred stew for days now. Just a few final ingredients and it will be ready to ingest." Funny... they were making the pot in this room... I stared at it, trying to clear the fog out of my mind. This lady seemed so nice though, "You Mr. Snotlout, will be the centerpiece of our celebration."

I rubbed my face, so foggy. "So, this sacred stew, what exactly makes it so 'sacred?'"

Atali seemed to shrug it off, walking away. "Oh, I'm afraid we couldn't reveal that, Snotlout. If we did, well..." The response was about needing to kill him, and me. "That's one way to put it." The voice behind that was much less like Mala. My brow furrowed. Snotlout suddenly grabbed my arm saying we were leaving. "Run if you must Snotlout. But I'm afraid we cannot let you leave Wingmaiden Island." With that smile, we ran. I followed him into the bright light outside.

He kept running, dragging me behind him. "This is so typical. I finally met some cool chicks that I can hang out with, who get my jokes, dig me as a leader and as a warrior, and it turns out all they want to do is make me into some crappy stew." I lifted a hand to correct him. "Shut it, (Y/n). I didn't ask you."

To that, I pointed ahead. "I wasn't going- well I was but there was one other thing." He looked forward, seeing one of the Wingmaidens standing in our way. Changing direction we ran into more Wingmaidens. That was when I noticed their backs. And the armor was starting to make more sense. Razerwhips. When we made it to a ledge with nothing but water below we were trapped.

He turned around as Atali came out of the brush. "You don't think I'll do it, do you? You don't think I have the guts? Well guess what, baby? I'm all guts. Check this out. Nothing but guts here." She continued forward before Snotlout pushed me off and then came down himself. I screeched and flailed. I hadn't ever dove off cliffs for a very good reason. That being, I don't get in the water. Snotlout pointed out that they dove off after us, and we needed to swim. That didn't get us very far. We were caught immediately.

I don't really know where Snotlout was taken as I was too busy coughing up water and dealing with the fever that was coming back. I woke up with Hiccup leaning over my bed. "So, it looks like you've had an eventful day. How did babysitting go?" I groaned in response. "That's bad huh? Well the good news is that Snotlout's safe, and you'll be fine. Give them some medicine that will work better for you. When darkness fell, Hiccup helped me out of the tent and sat with me. We were holding cups watching the baby Razorwhips play. Snotlout even apologized to Astrid for being mean. That was a really good start.

Atali walked up ready to make a toast. "A toast and greetings to our new friends from Dragon's Edge. You have taught us a lesson in tolerance and acceptance. You will always be welcome here on the Island of Wingmaidens. Every one of you." I giggled as one of the Razorwhips climbed up onto my shoulder, nuzzling my head. I purred to it in response. "And to the conclusion of the nesting season. Now that it is over, there is much work to be done, but no other task brings us such joy."
