So these past few weeks have been... eventful. Snotlout was going through something but he managed to pull through it. Dagur was determined to be alive and Snotlout almost became a king. I'm not sure how that would have gone over. Then while I was out checking on an island there was a large Sea dragon Vigo captured that was eating boats.
Now we were dealing with the midnight sun. Basically this was the two as Hiccup referred to them as weeks where I couldn't count moons. Unfortunately, as I was witnessing a lot of arguments insured within just a few days of the sun never setting. I was helping unload ships while the others went back to the edge.
They were supposed to be doing something easy, just washing their dragons... Well, it's only a matter of time before I find out how that turned out. When we finally finished I headed with Hiccup into their hut. Snow wanted to take a nap with Toothless. "Dad, I need to talk to you about something."
They had a lot of chicken laid out on the table and I watched them start eating. "All right. What's on your mind, son?"
I glanced between the two of them, this was going to go over really well. Taking my fish I backed away from the table to take a different seat. "I need to borrow the Auxiliary Dragon Riders. I'll have them back before you even know they're gone."
Tearing some meat from the fish I watched in silence. "Is that right? And, uh, why would you need to borrow my A-team?" They were both drinking water and I though after this I would go fishing.
Hiccup looked a little startled. "Oh! Well, I just wanna get them tuned up, you know, check in on their training." I rolled my eyes, there was no way his dad was going to buy that.
As he pulled the leg out he eyed it suspiciously. "Uh-huh. I see."
Hiccup yawned and faked a big smile. He was in a hurry. "Okay, great, thanks."Getting up he took my arm motioning for Toothless and Snow to follow.
Stoick's eyes met mine for just a moment and he shook his head. "Uh, just one wee little thing, son." Hiccup sounded nervous as he stopped and turned to face his father. "First of all, let me just say, you are a terrible liar." I chuckled as Hiccup let go of my arm trying to play it off. "Oh, I think you follow. I think you follow just fine. The three of us know you want to go after Viggo."
Our dragons laid back down, I shrugged as Hiccup looked at me. "You know, he is your father, Hiccup. He knows you better than anyone."
Hiccup sighed and walked away from me. "Okay, let's say I did. Could you blame me? I mean, he didn't just attack me and the Riders. He went after Berk, after innocent people, Dad. He needs to pay for that."
Stoick was really calm about this. I was a little surprised. "Okay, let's say I agree. Let's hear your plan. Surely you don't plan to just charge in there with no plan and put your weakest member or girlfriend in danger."
I raised a brow, I kinda wanted to know this plan too. Hiccup hadn't told me about it yet. "My Plan? Simple. Wipe him and his dragon-hunting psychopaths off the face of the Earth. Kaboom!" I deadpanned.
That was not a plan. Stoick just chewed on his meat silently. Didn't even look phased. "Kaboom, huh? Interestin'. Not many movin' parts, are there? Not much plannin' in your plan."
Hiccup placed his hands on his hips. "Who needs planning? We have dragons." I let out a sigh and sat down. This could take a while. Snow rolled her eyes and shifted slightly under Toothless's wing.
Stoick's eyes hardened. "So this basically boils down to revenge?" Hiccup thought this conversation was over, it wasn't. Even if his father knew what he was after. He moved to take my arm but Stoick cleared his voice. "Hiccup." He stood up fro his chair, hands placed on the table. "There'll be no revenge against Viggo Grimborn."
