Champagne Problems// Laena Velaryon out now!

The seas were ragged and rough as they sailed to driftmark. King Viserys groaned out as he vomited over the edge of the ship. The rain was falling hard as the thunder rumbled on. Lyonel Strong had replaced Otto and no one was more upset then Moira Queen herself. Instead of a legacy, a good future for Thea, she was married to the exiled hand of the king. The vulture, the traitor to the crown Viserys could have deemed Otto for the amount of cursing Moira did when she heard the news.

"Mother-"

"Theadora meant a gift from god. My only daughter. Yet at times I think the devil sent you." Moira hissed.

"How is this my fault!" Thea shouted back. "I didnt fuck my uncle in a brothel."

"Your husband is being dismissed. He is a second born son." Moira reminded her.

"You picked him!" Thea shouted back. "I didnt you did!"

"I'm disappointed in the both of you."

"MOTHER!" Thea begged.

Thea, as awful as it sounded wanted to do as her mother said, wanted to make her happy. Wanted to make her proud. Wanted Moira to love her. Even though Moira was awful and made Thea hate every bit of herself. She wanted to be a good daughter. But Moira shouting at her, saying the devil sent her, the devil... comparing her own blood to the devil himself, made Thea break.

"I'm going with Thea."  Oliver remarked and Moira rolled her eyes.

"Must both of my children be failures?" Moira questioned looking between them.

"Failures teach you how to not fail again. Failures are just another..." Tommy began but Moira glared at him. "-shutting up." Tommy agreed.

"My children..." Moira tsked.

"Again, I didnt fuck my uncle in a brothel." Thea reminded her. "I thought you would like that Otto told Viserys the truth, its not Otto's fault the king is blind."

"THEADORA!"

"Try again, fail again... fail better." Tommy whispered.

"Mother-"

"I'm so disappointed." Moira hissed.

''A moment. I do not wish to see you go.'' Alicent said running up to her father.

''Such is the King's decision.'' Otto reminded her solemnly. His gaze shifted to Thea and Oliver.

''A decision I most bitterly regret.'

''And yet, you made it possible. You chose Rhaenyra.'' Otto reminded her.

''She swore her innocence, and I believed her.'' Alicent retorted

''You wanted to believe her, as did her father'.

''Your informant was wrong. An honest mistake, perhaps, but I did not foresee this!'' Alicent countered

''You should have.'' Otto warned

'If you had not been so relentless in advancing Aegon as heir!' Thunder rumbled as the rain poured down around them.

'Listen to me, daughter. The King will die. It may be months or years, but he'll not live to be an old man. And if Rhaenyra succeeds him, war will follow, do you understand? The realm will not accept her. And to secure her claim, she'll have to put your children to the sword. She'll have no choice.'' Otto warned her and Alicent started to whimper 'You know it. You're no fool, and yet you choose not to see it. The time is coming, Alicent. Either you prepare Aegon to rule, or you cleave to Rhaenyra and pray for her mercy.'' Otto hugged her goodbye before he headed off.

"To old town." Thea said blandly.

"I'm sorry." Otto offered.

"Not your fault Viserys is blindly loyal to his daughter. I wish I had parents like that. Covering up my mistakes instead of blaming me for others mistakes." Thea remarked.

"Your mother is upset." Otto realized.

"Thats an understatement." Thea agreed.

"Lady Thea!" Alicent called out and Thea turned to her.

"Hello daughter." Thea said stiffly.

"Look after him, please." Alicent begged.

"Til death do us part." Thea agreed with a wink.
