Driving the car out of the airport, Shimmer was silent beside Zeke. She didn't know what to say after the little fiasco fate had pulled her in. She felt grateful that Zeke was there giving her the shoulder she needed but she also felt a little embarrass showing her pain to the person she just knew for a few days. She has been thinking of things to pay him back his kindness towards her but she doesn't how. Looking back to the first time they've met when they bumped each other in the airport, it makes her smile. She knew little about the ice-cold man people described him as a warm and gentleman instead and she was going to know about him more.

"You know, I still didn't know where you live," Zeke said snapping her out of her thoughts. "I mean, you have said that you live in a province, where exactly was it?" he added. Shimmer glanced at him giving him a small smile.

"Bohol. I live in a small town in Bohol," she said. "Why do you asked?" she added.

"I just thought you wanted to see your kids." he informed her making her looked at him fully.

"Oh yes I wanted to see them. I was thinking to ask you if it's okay with you?" she asked. She's praying that Zeke would let her.

"If that's what you want then we'll visit them." he replied making her smile.

"Thank you, Zeke." she said grateful for the man. She seemed to always smile by his actions. He always made her smile and feel warm. She feels like they knew each other for quite some time and have been established a kind of friendship.. Perhaps more than that if she just know.

"I was just thinking how would they react if-" she started to say but Zeke cut her off.

"They'll be fine, I'm sure of it. They still have you and they know that you wouldn't leave nor hurt them like what that bastard did." Zeke said pointedly. Shimmer nodded and was silent for a moment. Zeke was right, they still have me and I will not fail them.

"Thank you." she responded quietly.

"Hi Ma, kamusta ang mga bata?" (Hi Mom, how are the kids doing?) Shimmer said to her mother on the phone. When Zeke agreed that they'll visit the kids and her family at home, she was demanded to make a phone call right away informing them that she'll be home for a couple of days.

"Ok raman sila dai. Ikaw kamusta man?" (They're okay, how are you?) her mother asked making Shimmer sigh silently.

"Ok raman pud ko Ma. Naa ka sa bay?" (I'm alright Mom. Are you at home?) she asked her mother knowing that she was always busy farming.

"Ou. Dia gabantay sa mga bata. Asa na diay ron si Pen? Wala naman sya niari sa bay." her mother asked wondering why Stephen wasn't visiting the kids at home. This made Shimmer sigh again. She feels sad and hurt about what Stephen did. She knew that she must asked him about what the girl said to her but she chose to wait for him to call her instead.. And it's been hours since the call. Would he call her and try to explain atleast?

"Mag storya rata diha, Ma. Muoli man ko kauban nahu ang amo sa ahung amo." (I'll tell you when I get home, Ma. I'll be home with my boss' boss.) she said informing her mom making the latter surprised.

"Ok. Amping mo dai." (Ok. Take care both of you.) her mom said before she cut the call. Turning to face Zeke, she smile gratefully at him.

Zeke on the other hand was excited to see her town and her family. He was trying to make Shimmer forget after what has transpired earlier and he was sure that she would be glad to see the kids and her family. It is also a way to make her warm to him even just a little and maybe find a place in her heart for him. Like what Tebber said, they would do everything and anything for her.. To fall, accept and love him and Teb.
