"Hey man. You in for tonight?" Lucas asked, sitting himself in front of the man who was as cold as the air on the top of the Mount Everest. The man himself didn't even bother to look up at him and continue reading the file he was holding as if he didn't hear Lucas.

After some time, he finally closes the folder, put it beside his desk before leaning back against his thrown. His lavish swivel chair.

"No."

Lucas didn't even looked surprise to that answer. After asking him a million times before, his answer was still the same. He really think that this ice-cold man need to warm up a little so his office won't be as cold as him. It's giving him chills.

Sometimes he wished that this building has a furnace to save the people working here from freezing.

"Why did I even bother asking you that question when I already knew the answer?" he asked more to himself rather than the man who was now sending shards of ice his way.

"Well, I guess it wouldn't hurt to try. But you really need to go out sometimes. I mean, live a little, dude." he added. Ignoring the look this man sent him. Exasperation was clearly be heard on Lucas voice, like really nearly begging this ice to melt this instant, but the man was too ignorant for his own good. Dang!

Little did Lucas know that the man whom he called an ice berg was immune to warm or heat. Whatever he tried to do to melt the ice, he would just see his very self fail. But Lucas was a strong-headed and a determined guy who aimed to melt the ice or atleast crack the outer part of the shell that this man build around him.

"I'm living, aren't I?" the man coldly reply. Grinning, Lucas thought that he's finally cracking this man's head. Finally. But clearly he should know better,

"You see me sitting here, breathing, did you not? Are you blind or something?" the man added making the grin on Lucas face froze. Really this man. He sighed, shaking his head chuckling.

"Right." he gave up. Raising his hands in surrender. "So what do you plan on doing tonight?" changing the atmosphere before his head ached, he asked.

The man pause for a second, making Lucas belive he actually plan on doing something. "Nothing." the man replied, getting up his chair. "Enjoy your night, Luca." he stated before storming out of his own office, leaving gaping Lucas behind.

He was surprised that the ice-berg man called him Luca again. The name his ex fiancee used to call him. Much to his disappointment.

Should he stop trying to melt a stone? An ice? Whatever that man be called, it still suited him. Dang again!

So much for friendship. Might as well enjoy his night with his date.

The ice-berg man was now standing on his balcony, holding a glass of wine while looking down at the lights from the buildings below.

Buildings.

How he missed standing in the vast stretch of trees surrounding his house in the forest, away from prying, curious eyes of human. The place where he let his inner beast ran freely. Living the years of his very infinite life, he wondered if there were still things he like to do or discover to himself.

Looking up, admiring the clear night sky. Twinkling stars stretching beyond his line of sight.

He liked the silence of the night.

The dark starry night.

Just like the hair of the woman he saw in one of his trips.

Ugh. Not again!

Every night when he was alone, he always caught his mind straying to the black haired woman.

In fact, any moment of the day.

The image and the smell of the woman in that cafe never left his mind. It haunts him. Why? He did asked that to himself many times but still didn't know the answer. Hell. He did not even want to know. The feeling was foreign to him.

After breathing a thousand years he should know! He was old enough to know yet he didn't know.

The ice-berg man ran his fingers through his hair in frustration. This too, was new for him. He was never got frustrated before but lately he became frustratingly frustrated as the day crawls agonizingly slow. Like he was waiting for something. Like he need to do something but he didn't know what. He started to feel like this after 2 days after the cafe incident and now it was over 6 months and he feel like clawing his eyes out.
Damn it!

The woman was just sitting there, oblivious to her surroundings. She was taking her time scribbling something on the paper. The sight he saw was magnificent. He always saw a woman smiles before but why did that woman's smile didn't leave his mind? God. He feels like he's going mad!

He needs to see the woman again, he decided. He was certain that it has to do something with the woman he saw at the cafe. Pulling his phone out from his pants pocket, he called his PA,

"Lucas, I need you to ready the jet now. I'm leaving tomorrow before sunrise." with that he endend the call and went back to his office to finish his work. If not because of Lucas earlier, he must have been done with his work.

Lucas' curse echoed loudly in the room. He was about to have a shot on his date when Zeke called demanding to ready the jet.

The monster!

Where would the iceberg man plan to go sounding too URGENT? He doesn't have any business deals outside the country for a week. He should know! He's the PA after all.

Ezekiel Wolf Knight
You're so.. YOU!

A block of iceberg that would make a ship sink to the bottom of the dark depths of the Atlantic.

Bloody f*cker!

Taking a deep breath, he turned back to the woman who was now half-naked in front of him. They're throwing off their clothes around hastily before being interrupted by a sudden ring of his phone. Damn iceberg! He really know how to ruin my night, wasn't he?

"Sorry about that," he said, a hand scratching the back of his head, not knowing what to say to her, "There was a sudden change of plan tonight.. So I guess, I'll see you later?" the woman just nodded clearly embarrassed of what just happened, and quickly gather her clothes discarded on the floor and slipped them on.

Glancing back at him, she smiled, "It's okay. You will call me, right?" Lucas nodded, walking with her out of his house, and close the door after she left.

He headed back to his room and sit down on his bed. He was really tired and frustrated. He chose this night to have fun and shoo away or forget the taunting memories of his past that haunts him ever since he saw his ex fiancee happy with another man.

He can't take it anymore.

Tears stung his eyes thinking back their relationship before everything went down hill. He still didn't understand why she did this to him. Damn her. Why was it so easy for her to move on and be happy again while he was still wallowing the pain she caused.

Why has she become so cruel.

What wrong did he do to her?

He remember the time she met her. It was a cold snowy night in December. He was going to the office when he saw her, looking lost. He stopped his car and approached the shivering girl, that's when the girl looked up at him and met his eyes. He fell in love that instant, as cliche as it was, but that's what he felt..

And then he just woke up one morning to see the girl she loved head over heels in love with another man.. If not for how busy he was working for Zeke, he must have been 6 ft. below the ground now, eaten by the decomposers and wasn't had the chance to meet and work with most cold person in the whole world. He was half grateful to Zeke. The other half was annoyance towards the iceberg man but still grateful nonetheless.

Now, he really need to do what's his boss demanded before he turn him into a popsicle. Like literally.
