Everyone of us who lived in this world has at least a dream that drives them to continue living, to keep going, inspiring their soul to go further. And believing that everything in this world that were seemed impossible to achieve were definitely possible to reach. Setting a goal to establish your dream help you to move forward.

Sometimes one can overcome the hurdles that life prepared, the hurdles that tried to hinder you to stop dreaming and show you that those dream weren't really the ones you want to achieve, making you doubt of your choice. All you have to do was pick a choice very carefully. A choice that might changed your life, away from the dream you had set, for good.

There were also some that chose to go further. Pursuing their dreams after the hurdles and obstacles they faced. Making them the stepping stones to go up their way to grasp the dream they have strived to accomplish. It wasn't easy. Neither of the choices you made or still make were easy but you have to choose carefully.. Because life and fate never give us the luxury to have those choices made for you.

It was only upsetting when circumstances chose to twist your way away from the one-step, almost within your reach length, to finally realize your dream. A dream that inspires you every time of the day, making your soul happy and filled with contentment thinking that by achieving the dream you have, you would also make another souls happy.

And fate was definitely angry at Shimmer..

And she didn't know why.

She also didn't know how should she react after striving, stressing, struggling her way for her dreams, missing the people she loved and left behind for the dream she have to come true.

Fate was so cruel to her.

And she doesn't understand why either.

After spending a day with her family back home she returned to Manila to prepare everything she needed.

Three more days before the cruise leaves the port and started the long journey to their first stop.

But what she received did also make her heart's beating stopped. She did not dare breathe out afraid that if she did everything she have would burst out and pop like a bubble, threatening to disappear in the air like smoke never to return.

She blinked. Willing herself not to breakdown.

She read the email again and again.

Praying that she was just dreaming and she'd wake up any moment from this horrible dream.. but her eyes started to pool with thick hot tears.

Everything she had read was true.

Shimmer immediately opened the attached file and saw the re-evaluation of her medical result saying that she fail on one of her medical exams she took months ago. The eye test. She knew it!

She really had thought that she passed the eye test knowing that she was only a slight near-sighted person but that wasn't enough for the agency. Obviously.

Everything around her crumbled. She felt like the world went crashing down on her.

The apprenticeship she dreamed. Not just that but the advantage of working, actually working in the cruise ship was everything for her. Not to mention the travel she dreamed for a very long time. She had poured her soul in this but was now crushed like an ice in the ice crusher.
