18 |I Like Him|

"Good morning, Ma." the girl greeted her mother who was in the kitchen cooking for breakfast.

After getting rid of the dirt and mud that covered her whole frame, she decided to prepare food for breakfast.

Zeke on the other hand busied himself working in her room. When they had entered the house earlier, he received a call from his PA, said that there were documents that needed to be checked by him urgently, so he left her to cook in the kitchen and went upstairs.

Shimmer looked behind her to see Zel in Zeke's arms. The latter smiled at her.

"Hey. Good morning, too, baby." she replied before putting down the ladle and make her way over to them and plant a kiss on the girl's cheek. "How was your sleep?" she asked.

"Good." Zel said yawning.

"That's good. Is Ate Sab still asleep?" she asked.

"I'm up. Good morning, Ma," Sabrina greeted her before kissing Shimmer's cheek. Turning back to greet Zeke too who was putting Zel down. "Good morning uncle Zeke." she greeted offering him a smile. Zeke smiled back at her.

"Good morning too darling. Now, I want you both to freshen up before we eat. Grandma will be here any moment." she said ushering the kids out of the kitchen before resuming what she was doing.

"For a girl who just discovered a great betrayal of the year, you seemed livelier. May I know who is the reason behind that lovely smile of yours, dearest Mimi?" noticed Jacob who were seated across Shimmer on the couch in the living room.

The latter looked up from flicking through her phone and looked at him who wore a teasing grin on his face.

They have been sitting on the living room for quite a long moment after they had their breakfast, waiting for their parents to come so they could go to their first destination.

Jacob along with his heavily pregnant wife came earlier to atleast spend time with Shimmer and the kids before they flew to their first stop. Since the latter was expecting, they can't go with them on their tour.

Or at least that was Jacob said to her.

She knew that he'd like to be spending time with her guest in the house and possibly know him more before the latter went back to where he came from, the USA.

She still couldn't wrapped her head around the fact that Zeke won their hearts for just hours of being here. Not just her brothers and quite her parents but Zeleena too.

She frowned looking at her big brother as if thinking. "I don't know what you mean, Jake." she said feigning innocence which only made Jacob laugh. She glared at him.

She was really bad at hiding something from her big brothers, especially Jacob.

Since a child she always got herself caught when she did something and tried to hide it from her brothers, in vain, and always found herself being laugh at with her big brothers. But she knew that they love her very much as much as she loves them back.

Deep down, Jacob wanted to insure that Shimmer was safe in Zeke's arms. Though Shimmer seemed reluctant to admit that she liked Zeke, he knew that the latter was wrapped around her pinky finger.

The way Zeke looked at her. The smile that he sent at her, only for her which only crept up on his face when he's talking to her and looking at her. The gentle gesture and innocent touch he gave her. These were reasons why Jacob thinks he was certain that the guy liked his baby sister very much.

Even Zel noticed it and told everyone around the table last night. She's a bright kid.

"Oh come on, Mimi. I know you more than you know yourself. Tell me," said Jacob teasingly making Shimmer shoot him daggers. Jenni, his wife, was grinning widely beside him. He stood up and sat near Shimmer on the couch before leaning onto her.
