{ Rose's POV }

I wake up holding Kamil, we cuddled and spooned last night. I see her sleeping peacefully so I feel bad about getting up. I look at my phone and check the time, it's 11 am. Damn we slept in, it's probably because we went asleep so late at night. I gently shake her awake and she whines, covering her eyes at the light peaking in.

"Why nowwww, let me sleepppp." She says sleepily and hides back under the cover.

"It's 11 am, we need to have some breakfast love. We don't have to cook, we can just get some food down the street." I said, shaking her some more.

"Okayyy fineee but only because we're getting food." I laugh and she finally gets up.

'Note to self: Kamil is bribable with food' I think to myself.

"I'll pick out our outfits, you seem pretty tired." I said as she headed to the bathroom.

I went to the closet and picked out a light blue cardigan for myself with some ripped white jeans. I'm thankful that me and Kamil have a similar style and size, otherwise she'd have to go home for some clothes. For her, I picked out a light pink cardigan and some ripped blue jeans. I thought it would be cute to match with her. I also found matching blue and pink bucket hats for us. She came out of the bathroom looking and sounding much better than before. I handed her the outfit.

"Thank you, I like matching outfits." She gave me a warm smile before I walked in the bathroom.

I had a quick shower before I started to brush my teeth, do my skin care, and comb out my hair. I decided to do some natural looking make-up. After I was done, I changed into my outfit and look at myself in the mirror.

'Damnnn I look gorgeous'

I walked out the bathroom to see Kamil sitting on my bed, appearing to be talking to someone.

"Yeah you don't mind if I come over right? Okay cool! I gotta go because we're about to go out okayyyyy? Bye!" She heard me and ended it then.

"Are you ready to go?" She nodded and I took my purse and phone before heading downstairs with her to leave. We walked out my house and it was about a 5 minute walk before we arrived to Waffle House. We walked in and sat down at one of the booths before a waiter came over. There weren't that many people here so I'm not surprised at the quick service.

"Hello, what would you like to order?" The waitress said.

"Ah can I have 2 chocolate chip waffles with some bacon and some water" I asked.

"I'll take 2 blueberry waffles with extra syrup please, also some iced vanilla coffee!" Kamil said.

"Coming right up!" The waitress spoke before she left with our orders.

"What time is the date?"

"It's at 5, can you be at my house by then?" I asked.

"Yeah, I'll just head to Thea's house until then. I told her I'd be coming over today and don't worry, it's a short walk from here."

"Okay, that sounds good."

A couple minutes later, the waitress came back with two plates of food. Me and Kamil both ate our waffles, and drank our drinks. When we were finished, I paid for the bill and we walked out of the place.

"I'll see you later, okay Rose? Bye byeee!" We hugged before she went her own way.

I walked the other way towards a jewelry store, Tiffany and Co. I wanted to get Kamil a gift for when I asked her out. I feel as though a ring is too much at this stage, but I could get her a gorgeous gold necklace that would look perfect around her neck. I walked in and I was greeted by one of the workers.

"Hello ma'am, how may I help you today?" He asked.

"May you take me to the gold necklaces here? I'm looking for a gift for someone special"

He walked me around to the necklaces and it was then I saw the perfect one. It was a thin gold necklace with a heart at the end. I thought it would look beautiful on Kamil. I pointed at it and asked.

"I want to buy this one, please have it prepared as a gift." I asked softly.

"Yes ma'am, just one second."

I walked up to the counter as he opened the glass case to box it. I pulled out my card and paid for it, taking the small box and putting it in my purse. I quickly left the store to return home. I checked the time on my phone and it was 1:30 pm.

I returned home to get ready for our date. I walked through the front door and straight to the kitchen. I wanted it to be something special, so I decided on a picnic. I set down my purse and I started taking out all the ingredients I'd need. I started with the sandwiches, making a variety for both of us. Next, I cut up some oranges, peaches, and apples. I also made sure to include a couple sweets as well, Kamil definitely has a sweet tooth. I was about to pull the picnic basket out of a closet before I suddenly got a phone call. I picked it up and went back to what I was doing, it was my parents.

"Hey mom, hey dad, how are you guys?"

"We're good, we were just missing you Rosey. What are you up to? How are your studies" I loved my parents, but they don't really grasp I'm all grown up now. It's not that bad though. They've always been supportive of me. When they found out I was lesbian, they didn't care. They just wanted me to find someone who treated me right.

"I'm currently preparing for a date, and mom, dad, the semester just ended. Though, I still have a 4.0 GPA like you want. " They gasped at the 1st statement. I've always been a smart girl, and my parents have always had high expectations of my academics, so it's not surprising.

"Oh my god, you're not my little girl anymore. Honey did you hear that! She's going to see someone!" My dad said, I could hear them both crying and I smiled a little.

"Tell us about them!" They asked.

"Well she's the most beautiful girl I've seen. She's sweet, kind, caring, and we're taking things slow at the moment." I answered as I finished packing the rest of the food into the picnic basket.

"We're so happy for you sweetie, just make sure they don't interfere with your studies. Did you remember to call your aunts and uncles down in South Korea? We haven't visited them in a while."

"I did, don't worry. They said they're doing well and they missed me." I didn't care to reply to what they said at first. I love my parents, but they've always pushed me to think school is the only thing that matters. It's not that bad anymore though, they'd acknowledged different ideas.

"Alright, I won't hold you for too long Rosey, I love you and stay safe."

"I love you too mom and dad" They hung up on me and I was finally done with the basket. I folded a pink and white blanket to put over it and I was ready for the date. I just know she'll love it . . .

{ Time Skip }

It was almost 5 pm, I went to the park early to pick the perfect spot. I found a small hill where I  set up the blanket and put down the picnic basket. I wasn't going to take the food out until she got here. I quickly ran back to my house to meet Kamil. I was just in time, I saw her walking on her phone here. She looked up and I greeted her with a warm smile.

"You're gonna love this, but first you gotta close your eyes angel."  I said, trying to keep my excitement down

"Uhh, okay." She closed her eyes and I took her hand. I wanted to run but I had to walk slowly to make sure she's okay. We entered the park, then I walked to our spot on the hill. I made sure there was some shade for the both of us.

"Open your eyes princess." She opened her eyes and looked around, gasping.

"YOU SET UP A PICNIC FOR ME??? AHHHHHHH" She squeaked and hugged me tightly.

"Of course, I wanted the 1st date to be very special Kamil." I said as I opened the picnic basket, spreading out all the food for us.

I made sure I picked the perfect spot for her. There was shade, lots of flowers surrounding the hill, and most of all the view. The view from here was amazing. You could see most of the park, the beautiful pond, the benches, everything. The birds were singing and the branches were dancing with it, it was the perfect spot for a picnic date. All that was missing was the sunset.

Kamilia took one bite of a sandwich I made and she smiled.

"Oh my god it tastes so good, you did all of this for me Rose? Really?"

"Mhm, it's all for you princess."

"Thank you so much, I'll never forget this. You're the sweetest girl I've ever met. I appreciate you so much." She was close to crying, but held it back.

We talked while we ate our food, we spoke for hours. We finished eating and we laid against the tree there. I held her as the sunset. I just wanted this moment to last forever. It was then I realized that . . .

I loved her . . .
