Her's Now, and Forever

~ Chapter 8 ~

{ Thea's POV }

Jamie parked his car and opened the door for me, I kissed him before I held his hand while walking into an ice cream parlor. When I stepped in, it was blue and pink themed with a couple booths filled with people. I was looking around to find my friends and then I saw Tae and Kamilia sitting at one of the bar stools there. I quickly walked over and greeted both Tae and Kamilia with a hug. I planned to sit by Tae, but Jamie took the spot instead. I decided to just sit by him.  I don't know why but he's jealous of how close we are. I get Tae's a guy, but I'm not into every guy I'm friends with. He's not just a friend, he's one of my childhood friends as well. I guess this whole interaction is gonna be awkward because Jamie's the jealous and possessive type. I made a mental note to communicate to him about this.

Honestly, all 3 of us didn't plan to hangout today either, but when Kamilia called me up I couldn't say no, I mean that's my best friend! I was in the middle of cleaning when I got a phone call, Kamilia finished studying with Tae and asked if I wanted to hangout with the two of them, of course I said yeah. My thoughts were soon interrupted though.

"Ya knowwww, we were waiting on you two before we ordered! I don't get a thank you?" Tae nudged Jamie, acting as his normal goofy self.

"Nawww for real, I had to resist my urge to eat already for you guys." Kamilia said, we all bursted out laughing.

"We would've been here sooner if Thea didn't take so long in the bathroom." Everyone else started to laugh but I punched Jamie and he stopped.

"Anywaysss I want some ice cream so let's get to it!" I said, we all nodded in agreement as Kamilia called over a waitress.

When the waitress arrived, she asked us all our orders. The uniform she had on was pretty standard, but what caught me off guard was her gothic makeup. I thought it was very unique and pretty. After complimenting her, I was returned with a smile and then we started to order. Jamie ordered 2 scoops of rocky road ice cream, Tae ordered a scoop of cookies and cream, Kamil ordered a scoop of cookie dough ice cream (despite the fact she's lactose intolerant), and I ordered 2 scoops of strawberry ice cream. The waitress wrote down all of our orders on a notepad and quickly left.

"So guys . . . I've been seeing this girl and  .  . . " Kamilia spoke until she was cut off by a gasp.

"YOU'RE SEEING A GIRL??? Damn and here I thought you were just a lonely lil lesbian." Tae's eyes popped as he spoke, honestly it was so outta pocket we all couldn't help but just burst out laughing.

"AY not too much, you can't talk when you can't keep a girlfriend for more than 1 month. I might not see a lot of people, but atleast I can keep bitches." Kamil said and Tae shut his mouth, me and Jamie were holding back laughter.

"So yeah, I've been seeing this girl for about a month . . . and . . . she asked me out yesterday . . ." We all gasped and waited for her to continue.

"And . . . now I have a girlfriend!" We all clapped and cheered for her. Just as we stopped, our waitress came over and gave us each our orders. After taking a bite, I asked Kamilia . . .

"Is it Rose?"

I knew it was Rose, but I still asked. From the very day they met, Kamil's been talking to me about Rose. She told me about all the dates they went on, how much of a sweet girl she is, how she think's she might be the one. Kamil was head over heels and ready to risk it all for this girl. I was happy for her, but damn she's in love.

"Yessssss, she's so sweet I love her!" Kamil replied

I had one last question though. I know that me and Kamil are both age regressors, so I wanted to know if Rose was a caregiver.

"Is she a . . . ?" Kamil started smiling and blushing, then she nodded many times.

"AHHHHHH I'm so happy for you guys." I squealed and smiled.

"Hold up, hold up, I feel like I missed a couple chapters . . . who the fuck is Rose?" Tae asked, confused. I could tell Jamie was confused by the look on his face too, though he was too busy eating his ice cream to reply.

"Rose is Kamil's girlfriend, they met at a coffee shop a month ago and ever since then they've been going on dates and getting to know each other. Personally, I've never met her but she's gorgeous according to Kamil." I answered.

"Awww, I'm so happy for you Kamilia." Tae put his arms around Kamil and hugged her. 

"So, Tae are you seeing anyone?" Kamil asked and Tae went silent.

"I guess that's a no, but what did yall expect?" Jamie finally chimed in. We all laughed and focused on eating our ice cream.

Once we finished, Tae paid for the bill and I decided to leave a tip for the waitress. All of us walked out, Kamilia walked to her car and Tae joined her, while me and Jamie went back to our car. Once Kamil backed out, we followed her car. I didn't feel like giving directions because we decided to go back to Tae's place to hangout, which Jamie doesn't know where it is. I think it was something we all needed, lately we've all been stressed about the new semester and all the work it comes with, so I was really we got this day. I tried to talk to Jamie in the car but he was ignoring me, I think I know why.

"Why are you ignoring me because of Tae?" I asked, I was so mad at him. Like grow some balls, he's literally just a friend and he's been here before you.

"You're so close and comfortable with him, I don't like it." He said with a low tone.

"He's a childhood friend, of course I'm close and comfortable with him. There's literally no competition going on, I have you and if I wanted him, I would've got with him earlier, no?" I said, irritated.

"I don't give a fuck who he is, you know I don't like any guys being close to you." He took a deep breath and sighed.

"And I've told you that I'm a grown woman, I have friends and other relationships outside of you. I also told you I don't like extreme possessiveness and jealousy, if you can't respect my boundaries this isn't gonna work out Jamie." I rolled my eyes and pulled out my phone.

"Ugh whatever." He replied.

Honestly I was so done with his bulllshit, I didn't even care if we broke up. He's a cool guy most of the time, but the wanting to control my relationships with other guys is a no for me. We were silent for the rest of the car ride.

After about 10 minutes, we arrived at Tae's apartment. Tae unlocked the door and Kamilia waited for me. I just got out of the car and walked towards her, I didn't even care to wait for Jamie. Kamilia looked confused, my anger and annoyance was definitely shown on my face.

She whispered to me, "Are you okay?" as she took my hand and walked inside. I shook my head no and mouthed, "I'll tell you later."

Tae's apartment was huge, I've seen it before but not recently. His living room and kitchen were merged into one room but it was still open and beautiful. Tae plopped down on his couch and noticed Jamie walking in.

"Yoo, you like scary movies? These two are scaredy cats when it comes to them." Kamil shot a look at Tae because to be honest, I was not feeling it tonight. He noticed and turned it down a little.

"Yeah, which one do you wanna watch? Friday the 13th is my favorite." Jamie said, sitting on the couch with Tae.

"You guys have fun, me and Thea will be in the gaming room chilling." Kamil said before walking me in there.

When we walked in, there was a gaming PC and a gaming chair straight ahead of us, but to the right there was an Oculus. The whole room was themed blue and black with neon colors because Tae's a huge gamer. In the very corner, there was a PS5 and 2 bean bags where me and Kamil decided to sit. I plopped down and I felt like I was sitting on a cloud. It was so comfortable and I was just sinking into the the spot. We turned on the PS5 and played GTA online. After a couple heists, I was feeling better enough to talk about it.

"So basically Me and Jamie had a fight, he's really possessive and jealous when it comes to other guys being close to me. Of course, I told him Tae's a childhood friend and I'm a grown woman that can be friends with or whatever to whoever I want." I spoke while we were robbing a jewelry store.

"Ugh he sounds like an asshole, I don't get why he's mad about that. He must thinks he's a main character or something." She replied, making me laugh a little.

"I know right? This my life, not yours boo. So I also told him that if he can't get that under control, this isn't gonna work out." 

"I know that's right, I woulda said the same thing girl." She said.

"I don't know why I put up wit- OH SHIT FUCK damn we gon have to restart." I took the wrong turn and hit a wall on my motorcycle trying to escape the cops after the heist. We bursted out laughing and played games all night long, we ended up falling asleep at Tae's house and that was perfectly okay.
