Part 1:
Ala's POV
Shane and I talked for the rest of the day, surprisingly. And today, I'm leaving. I couldn't explain the level of nervousness I was feeling at the moment. It felt as if my stomach was about to explode. But it didn't, thankfully. I got on the plane after saying my goodbyes to everyone, except Tessa, who was still mad at me for some reason. I told Carter I was coming back, and Carter only. He promised not to tell anyone. And I hoped he didn't. I wanted to surprise everyone. And I didn't want Cameron to try and come up with some glorious apology for kissing me. And I didn't want Matthew to try and contain himself because he knew I was coming. I wanted him to be fine when I surprised him. If that made sense.Carter's POV
I waited at the airport for Ala to appear. I had come up with so many outcomes of this. She could get hurt. Someone might do something stupid. Everything may just fall apart. I'm glad she called me though, it let me know hat she did still trust me. It had almost seemed like I was being replaced, hopefully not. I finally saw her come out of the airport, she recognized my car and walked over. She looked so exhausted. I got out and embraced her in a hug, she relaxed which led me to believe she needed a hug in the first place.
"Hi Carter." She whispered into my shoulder still not letting go, but I didn't mind.
"Hey Ala. How was Tennessee?" At my question she released. I took her bag, put it in the car, and got in the car to see she was already buckled and ready to go. As I closed the car door, she spoke.
"Good, for the most part."
"And that means?"
"Let's just say, I didn't plan on coming back this early." She sighed.
"I see." I responded making my way out of the LAX property. "So where do you want to go first?" I asked.
"Is Matthew in a good mood?" She questioned.
"When I left he was. But you never really know."
"True. I guess we can go to the hospital."
"Are you sure?" I didn't want her to feel pressured if she wasn't ready to do this. I don't think I would be.
"Yeah, I might as well get it over with." I drove to the hospital. It took a good thirty minutes to get there. I parked the car and we got out. She walked in silently. I wasn't sure who was here still, when I left all the boys and Matthew's parents were here, but that could've changed. As we passed the front desk the Jacks came around the front desk from the food court.
"Oh hey Ala. Sup Carter." Johnson said. He then stopped and he and Gilinsky focused themselves.
"Ala!" Gilinsky squealed hey both hugged her, she hugged them back while laughing at there oblivious beginning. "I didn't know you were coming back." Gilinsky stated.
"Nobody did. Except for Carter."
"Oh, so are you going to see Matthew?" Gilinsky answered.
"Who else would she be here to see Jack, seriously." Johnson laughed smacking his shoulder.
"True." Gilinsky laughed along. "Well, let us go then." He linked arms with Ala and began skipping to the room in front of Jack and I. We silently walked to the room, as we approached Ala stood at the door staring.
"It's okay Ala, he won't hurt you." Johnson started. "We won't let him." He finished. Jack G raised his eyebrow to ask her if she was ready. She nodded nervously taking a deep breath. Jack put his hand on her back reassuringly and opened the door slowly. All the rest of the boys and Matthew's parents were laughing, until they saw who walked in the door.Matthew's POV
We were all laughing and having a good time, when Carter said he had to run an errand. He left quickly and it's been about fifty minutes since he left.
"We're going to get something to drink, do you guys want anything?" Johnson asked.
"Yeah, I'm thirsty." Nash said.
"What do you want?" Jack asked him.
"Surprise me." Nash answered.
"Anyone else?" We all either asked for what ever or water. They left and we all continued laughing and talking. I heard tiny soft voices outside of the door, but figured it was just the Jacks or Carter. I was way off. The door opened I didn't turn to see who it was because I figured it wouldn't be anyone special. But then everyone looked at door in shock and confusion. I turned slowly to see a beautiful silhouette of the girl I'm desperately in love with.
"Ala?" I spoke in utter amazement.
"Hi." She said softly. I could tell she was nervous. I didn't blame her. I walked over to her, she looked awful. I mean she was still angelically gorgeous, but she just looked so exhausted, not from lack of sleep, but just lack of happiness. I felt awful. As I got closer she got more nervous. I lifted my hand to touch her cheek. She immediately hid behind Jack G out of fear. I put my hand down slowly as tears rose to my eyes. I terrified her.
"I'm not going to hurt you Ala. I'm so sorry." I said sadly. Jack pulled her out from behind him. She stood there and I watched a tear start rolling down her cheek. I lifted my hand again and reached over to wipe it off. She squeezed her eyes shut and tensed incredibly. I swiped my finger gently across her cheek removing the fallen tear. At my gentle touch she relaxed and opened her eyes, looking up to me with soft, gentle, scared eyes. I wrapped my arms tightly around her, she was taken aback at first but then hesitantly hugged me back. "I'm never going to hurt you again Ala." I whispered and pulled away. "I'm sorry." I kissed her. "I appreciate you." I kissed her again. "I love you." I said even softer and gave her one more kiss before resting my forehead against hers.
"I don't mean to break up your beautiful reunion guys, but I want a hug from Ala." Nash cut in. We both laughed. Ala walked over to Nash and hugged him tightly. I noticed Cameron standing back in the corner. She hugged everyone else, minus Cameron. She looked at Cameron and gave him a little smile. I actually felt bad for him. I know he really liked her, and not just like like. She was always like a little sister to him. Except for when he kissed her, that was not something you do to your siblings. But I know he didn't want to loose her over something so dumb. I felt that I had to intervene for the sake of my girlfriend and brother. I pushed Ala over to Cameron, she tried to fight me but obviously I won. I pushed them together until they were forced to hug. I stepped back.
"I'm so sorry Ala. I don't know what got into me."
"It's okay Cameron." She said genuinely. "I love you too." She whispered. I almost felt jealous but I held it back and contained myself. And then I remembered what I did to her just nights ago. I had no right to be jealous or mad at her for years to come. What I did was so cruel. I couldn't keep it from her. The longer I don't tell her, the more cruel it becomes. But I feel like Im drifting on thin ice right now. One more thing and that ice will break, and I will loose her. I can't loose her. I don't even want to imagine what I would feel. "Matthew? Are you okay?" I heard Ala's voice, and it completely distracted me from my thoughts.
"Um, yeah, I'm perfect. Now that you're here." I said, making her blush. She kissed my cheek making me blush as well. She then tangled her fingers together resting them on my shoulder while I held her waist. It was perfect. I didn't want to move. And then it got even more perfect when Dr.Martin walked in.
"Ala, I heard you were back." He smiled brightly setting his clipboard down on the counter.
"Indeed." She smiled.
"Well, it's nice to see you again." He paused thinking, then continued. "Say, Matthew. You seem to be feeling a lot better. Why don't you take Ala out for tonight." He smirked.
"Really!" I gleamed.
"Why not." I looked to Ala to see she was smiling lightly.
"What do you say Ala, will you let me take you out?" I asked. She smiled widely and nodded her head. "Perfect." I whispered lifting her chin and kissing her lips. Everyone left and I was the last to exit the dreary room. "Doctor?" He raised his eyebrow telling me to continue. "Thank you so much. I don't think you realize how grateful I am."
"Of course. I don't want you to loose her. She seems like a great girl."
"She is."
