Matthew's POV
They were coming over soon. I had butterflies in my stomach. I could barely breath. And it felt as if my heart stopped when I heard the doorbell.
"Kids, the Francis' are here!" My mom yelled up the stairs. We all exited our rooms and made our way downstairs. Dylan was wearing a dress and she looked so stunning. I noticed her parents and very similar looking brother. They were like the perfect family. The kind you would see on magazines or in Los Angeles. They were perfect. It was so unbelievable.
"Hi Matt." Dylan smiled.
"Hi." I smiled back brightly.
"Dinners almost done you kids can go do whatever." The parents retreated to the kitchen. My oldest brother Ryan wasn't here, so it was just Kristen, Dylan (my brother), Dylan (my love) and her brother. We stood in the foyer awkwardly.
"Sup bro, Im Dylan." My brother said to the boy.
"Hey, I'm Brody." Brody seemed around eighteen. "Hey, Dyl he's got the same name as you." Brody laughed.
"A lot of boys do Brody ." She laughed. My brother Dylan offered for Brody to come upstairs so they didn't have to stand there anymore. Brody agreed.
"Matt you coming?" Dylan asked. I wanted to hang out with the girl Dylan so badly. But I didn't want to seem like I liked her creepily. So I followed them up and Kristen and Dylan went to Kristen's room. I couldn't focus on anything the boys were saying, all I could think about was Dylan. I decided to escape to the bathroom. It turns out the girl I couldn't stop thinking about had the same idea.
"Hi." I smiled when I saw her walk out of Kristen's room.
"Hey." She smiled back biting her lip.
"You look really beautiful." I said making her blush.
"Thanks. You look really handsome, I like the pants."
"Really?"
"Yeah. It's impressive."
"Cool." I said excitedly, I guess Kristen was right.
Dinner ended up being finished by then I sat by Dylan, the girl I was desperately in love with. I couldn't take my eyes off of her.

The next couple of weeks I made sure I stayed in touch with her. I would hang out with her as much as possible. I learned every guy she dated was a football player. I always wanted to take up football. I guess I have my excuse. She's the reason I got into football in the first place. I just happened to be good at it. Finally it was a week before school started and Dylan and I grew closer and closer. And I loved her more and more everyday. She was so amazing. I finally had the courage and casually asked her to the movies. We had gone to the movies before. So I'm sure she thought nothing of it. But little did she know I was making a big move. I was planning on asking her to be my girlfriend. I had low hopes on the outcome. But what is the point of loving her without trying to be able to love her publicly, and in reality instead of just my head. Her brother gave us a ride, since neither of us could drive. I paid for the movie tickets and we went in to the movie we decided to watch. I don't even remember what movie it was. I just remember us sitting in the back. Instead of pulling the whole cheesy: yawn then place your arm over her shoulder. I just decided to go farther and I put my hand smoothly on her thigh. Her mouth opened a little by the shock of it. But she didn't move or react at all. I figured that meant she was fine with it. During the movie I would slowly inch my hand up. And once it reached her waist I pulled her closer to me. She looked at me with wonder-filled eyes. I was about to lean in to kiss her when she stopped me.
"Wait." She whispered.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to-." I started.
"No. You're fine. Perfect actually. But I just... I've never kissed anyone before. I don't know how." She said embarrassed.
"It's okay. Don't be embarrassed. Just part your lips a little and I'll do the rest." She nodded and parted her lips slightly. I leant in again and kissed her. It was so magical. She got the hang of it quickly and kissed back. The movie ended and we released our lips as the lights of the theater turned back on. We both had ginormous smiles on our faces. "Dylan Marie Francis. Will you be my girlfriend?" I asked confidently.
"Of course." She smiled and kissed me. It was perfect. Everything was perfect. Until we went to school.

School had been fine for the first month. Dylan and I were going strong. She had made many friends just as I expected. At the four month mark things started getting shakier. Dylan was getting really popular. I was scared she would forget about me. But we'd been dating for almost five months. That's almost half a year. You can't just forget about that. Can you?
