Part 2:
Cameron's POV"Carter call the ambulance."
"Can't we just drive-."
"We don't have time call the damn police!" (A/N 91 F*CKING 1!! Sorry, keep reading.)I yelled lifting Matthew's head.
~At The Hospital~
Carter and I both rode in the ambulance with Matthew as he was still unconscious. I was contemplating whether or not I should call Ala and tell her. I wasn't sure if she would actually care. They didn't really seem to be friends at the moment. She's seemed to isolate herself from us all. Everyone except Nash. Of course she would care. She will always care about Matt.
"Carter, should I call Ala?" I asked him not sure what to do.
"She's probably just going to hurt him even more." Carter snapped coldly.
"She would want to know. Wouldn't she?" I questioned.
"I dont know. I dont care." What the hell.
"What's wrong with you?" I asked wondering where this sudden outburst of hatred toward Ala came from.
"She doesn't care about him anymore. She's just a conceited bitch, who repeatedly hurts Matthew." I looked at him with utter confusion.
"She will always care about Matt. And wanting to be happy is not conceited. Also she's not a bitch, she is the least bitchiest person I've ever come across. And Matthew is the one who repeatedly hurt her. He doesn't deserve pity." I defended, getting angrier at him.
"Whatever. Call her, I dont care." He said and walked off into the hospital. I sighed and pulled out my phone. I waited and waited and almost gave up until the ringing stopped.
"Hey." She answered.
"Hi, I have bad news." I said wanting to get straight to it.
"Ala come on, hurry up." I heard Nash's voice in the background. I'm shocked.
"Hold on Nash." She called back to him. "Sorry, whats up?"
"Matthews in the hospital. I wasn't sure if you even cared. But I thought I should tell you." I explained.
"What the hell. Why is he in the hospital?" She asked.
"He overdosed."
"On what?"
"Pain killers."
"Oh my god. I'm on my way." She hung up the phone. I sat and waited. As I waited for Ala to show up, most likely with Nash. I tried to find a reason why he decided to do this. He was getting better. And then all of a sudden he just snapped. It made no sense. I stood up and walked to the front desk. They wouldn't tell me anything, because I wasn't family. I did however manage to see what his room number was. I dragged myself to the room, in the familiar hallway.
They put him back here. They really put him back here. Back where he was supposed to get better. But was only driven more insane. Back to the place where they kept his kind. The kind that couldn't control their own minds. How could they? It will only make him worse. When will they see that? "Cameron?" I jumped suddenly by her voice. "Why are you down here?" She asked.
"They put him back. They put him back and trapped him again. He's going to hate this." I admitted.
"He'll be okay." She said placing her hand on my back.
"Kids you're not aloud back here." A nurse informed us. Pushing us back into the lobby where I saw Nash sitting.
"I'm so sorry ma'am, we just need to know about Matthew Espinosa." Ala replied kindly.
"Well I'm sorry but I can only inform family members about his state." The nurse said coldly returning back behind the front desk. By now Nash had joined us.
"I'm his sister." Ala said.
"You don't look like his sister." The nurse replied snootily.
"I'm adopted. Now if we're done with interrogation time, I'd like to know how my brother is please." Ala snapped back, loosing her temper but still managing to sound nice at the same time.
"Dr.Martin." The nurse called. A tall fit man turned around from across the lobby. He made his way over to us.
"Oh, look who it is." Dr.Martin smiled.
"How's Matthew?" Ala asked getting straight to the point.
"He won't talk to us. He's gone mute it seems." Dr.M answered, but we knew he wasn't finished. "Ala? Wanna give it a try?" He asked.
"I'm not really sure Matthew would want to see me."
"Oh please. Just go." Dr.M led Ala back to the room.
"He was put here again?" Ala asked disappointed.
"Sadly, yes." Dr.M unlocked the door and let all of us in. Matthew was sleeping. "He needs to be up anyway, just wake him." Dr.M informed us, walking out of the door.
"Matthew." Ala said softly. He stirred around but didn't wake up. "Matthew, wake up." She said still managing a soft tone of voice.
"No, you're not here. You're just imaginary." Matthew whispered still asleep.
"Matthew, I'm here. Wake up please." Ala sat down next to him and took his hand.
"You're not here." Matthew muttered again.
"I'm real. I'm here. I care about you. Please wake up." Ala whispered to him this time and followed it by kissing his forehead. As she released he opened his eyes in confusion. He didn't say a word. Mute. "Talk to me." Ala said. He stayed silent. "Why'd you do it?" She asked him. Nash and I stayed back, if anyone could get through to him, it was her. We would only get in the way. Matthew continued to stare at her in silence. "Why did you do it?" She asked more stern. He looked away. "Don't just pretend like you don't hear me Matthew Lee Espinosa. Talk to me. It's just me. Ala Dausonn?" This time, she meant business, he knew that.
"I overdosed." He said quietly. Ala sighed. "On pain killers."
"Cameron told me. I just don't understand why."
"I was trying to stop the pain." His voice was so quiet I could barely hear him.
"What pain?"
"The pain from you breaking my heart. The pain from you hating me."
"I didn't mean it. You know that."
"It seemed like you meant it. It seemed like you really meant it. It hurt, a lot."
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you."
"I'm sorry for calling you a slut." She giggled slightly.
"It's fine. I'm just glad you're okay." She pulled him into a hug. He squeezed his eyes shut. I'm sure trying to savor every moment of it. "I love you. You know that right? I could never hate you." She took his face in her hands. He nodded.
"I love you too." He pulled her in again.
"Please, don't ever do this again. You scared the hell out of me."
"I won't. I promise."
