Part 1:
Matthew's POV
"What do you expect me to do?" I asked. They were being a little ridiculous.
"Call her up, and tell her you forgive her. Tell her you love her." Carter suggested.
"I broke her wrist. I can't just call her and say 'hey babe I've cooled down, come back home I may or may not hurt you again, but whatevs. Love you see ya soon.'"
"What do you mean you may or may not hurt her again?" Cameron but in.
"I don't know. What if she comes back and I see her face? And all the anger channels back in. What if I hurt her again?"
"Matt, you won't hurt her."
"I might. And I'm scared to hurt her again. What I did to her wrist. I don't even know where it came from. I don't want her to get hurt. I always told her I would protect her from what hurt her. And I'm hurting her, so how am I supposed to protect her from myself?"
"Stay calm. That's all you can do Matt."
"I'm scared."
"We will be there."
"Please promise me, if I try to hurt her. Make me stop, kill me if you have to. Just make sure I don't hurt her."
"We won't let you hurt her Matthew. Now call her." Gilinsky said.
"How, she doesn't have her phone. I don't have my phone." Cameron threw my phone to me. I smiled, my baby survived the crash. Thank you Otter Box corporation.
"Call Tessa's phone, Ala has to be with her." Nash suggested.
"I don't have her number."
"I do." Nash responded. We all looked at him confused. Why would he have Tessa's phone number?
"Why the heck do you-." Johnson started.
"Never mind why I have it!" Nash cut him off. "Type it in." He read me the number. The whole time it was ringing I was shaking. What if she didn't want to come home. What if she was happier there. What if she met someone else better than me. Who am I kidding, everyone else is already better than me. Suddenly I heard the ringing stop, and I swear my heart stopped with it. I haven't heard her precious voice for days, other than the video but it wasn't the same. She wasn't talking to me.
"Hello?" Tessa answered.
"Hi Tessa. It's Matt. Um is Ala around?" I asked hesitantly. I was so scared she was done with me.
"Yeah actually, I'll go get her."
"Thanks." I could hear her feet walking. My heart raced. I felt my palms get sweaty.
"Ala." I heard Tessa call. "There's someone on the phone for you." This was it. This was the moment.
"Hello?" I almost bursted into tears by the sound of her voice, her sweet comforting voice. But instead I was too love struck to even say a word. "Hello?" She asked again. Come on Matthew say something you idiot. "Tessa I think the person hung up."
"Wait no. I'm here." I finally spat out. This time she said nothing.
"Matthew?" She finally spoke.
"Hi." What an idiot. Hi? What was I thinking.
"Hi." She said awkwardly.
"Um. Look Ala, I'm really sorry, like about your wrist and stuff. And Bai-." I almost told her what I did. Shit Matt, keep it together. "And I'm just really sorry."
"It's okay. I'm not mad at you. I'm really sorry I kissed another boy. It was the worst mistake of my life." She added. I felt like shit. She felt terrible about a measly kiss. When last night I hooked up with a girl I already cheated on her with. Man I am a bitch.
"It's okay Ala. Don't apologize."
"Well what do you want me to do? I cheated on you. I'll do anything to make you forgive me. Just please don't hate me anymore." She's willing to do anything, just for my forgiveness. And I had sex with someone else last night, and told them I loved them. I don't deserve her.
"Ala, I never hated you. I could never hate you. I was just upset. Because I'm scared your going to realize how much better you deserve than me. And your going to leave me because your going to realize you can find someone so much better."
"Matthew, I love you, with all of my heart. There is no better than that."
"What did I do to deserve you?" I asked. Not even meaning to ask it.
"You fell in love with me. And you made me fall in love with you."
"I love you...so...so much Ala."
"I love you too Matthew."
"Please come home." I begged in a sad tone.
"Are you okay?" She asked noticing my sad tone.
"No. I miss you so much. And I'm making mistakes. And my head is all over the place. I need you here with me."
"It's only been a week."
"A week of hurting and wondering if your ever coming back for me. I've done terrible things while you've been away Ala. I don't want to do that anymore. Please come home Ala. I can't do this without you." I was practically crying.
"Matthew, baby calm down. It'll be okay. I'm coming back."
"Right now?"
"No."
"Well when are you coming back Ala?"
"I don't know. But it won't be much longer. You can do this Matthew, I believe in you." I didn't say anything. The boys were wrong I couldn't get her to come back. No amount of begging will get her to come back. "I have to go Matthew. I'll talk to you soon I hope. Just be careful and get better. I know you can do it."
"I love you."
"I love you too." She answered and that was that. She wasn't coming. I slumped down on the bed with a vivid expression of sadness.
"What did she say?" They asked.
"She's not coming. I couldn't do it. Sorry guys." I said sadly.
"Hey, Matt. It's okay. She just needs a little more time." Cameron comforted me, sitting beside me.
"I'm sorry, I know how much you guys miss her. I miss her too, a lot."
"No, I'm sorry." Cameron apologized, he explained why before we could even ask. "I was the one who told her to go. I thought it would calm things down here. I thought she was the reason there was so much drama and shit. But we all equally share the blame, I guess. I'm sorry." I looked at him dumbfounded. He literally told her to leave? She literally listened? "And Matt. I should be honest with you... I should be honest with all of you." Oh no. What could it possibly be now. "I um. I kinda... I kissed Ala." He spat out. My jaw dropped. I thought he was on my side. I thought he was over it. I thought he was my friend. I immediately pushed him over onto the ground. I sat on him ready to punch his brains out.
"You asshole! How could you do that to me! You know how hard everything is right now! But you had to make it worse didn't you? What else did you do? Did you fuck her or something?"
"I told her I loved her." He said quietly. I couldn't believe him. How would I ever be able to forgive him.
"What?" I yelled.
"I told her I lo-."
"I heard you, you idiot." I yelled. "Your going to pay for this you dick." I raised my fist ready to punch him, he didn't even put up a fight. He knew what he did was wrong. As my fist almost collided with his face I heard something.
"Matthew stop!" It was Ala. I looked around the room. She wasn't here. How, what?
"Ala?" I asked the air.
"You didn't hang up the phone." She said. I looked on the bed the phone was still sitting there. I grabbed it, still not releasing Cameron. "Please don't do this Matthew." She pleaded.
"Why, you don't love him too do you?"
"Of course not. I love you. But your going to regret this Matthew. Your going to hurt yourself. Cameron's your friend, don't loose him. He made a mistake, you do that too." I unclenched my fist and got off of Cameron, leaning against the bed. He looked sorry.
"I'm sorry Ala." I said softly.
"It's okay. But I'm not the one you need to apologize to."
"Sorry Cameron." I said emotionless, I'm still pissed at him. He gave me a small smile saying thanks for the effort. "I told you Ala. I told you I'm making mistakes. I need you here." I said quietly.
"What else have you done?" She asked. I couldn't tell her about a Bailey over the phone. She didn't even know I knew a Bailey.
"I um, I just was a dick to some people." Yeah, you.
"Well be nice from now own."
"I promise."
"Good. Now I actually really have to go."
"Okay, bye." I replied sadly.
"Bye Matthew, I love you."
"I love you too Ala." Then the line went dead and the phone actually hung up this time.
"Guys!" Hayes yelled. I'm pretty sure this was one of the only times he's talked.
"Whadup two-thousand." Nash laughed at himself.
"Haha very funny. You know I had a plan to get Ala to come back but I guess I just won't bother telling you now, it probably sucks anyway, I am from the two-thousands after all."
"Wait no Haaas I'm sorry please, please tell us." Nash pleaded. The rest of us sat up interested in this little plan.
"It's kind of cruel but it should work. We have to pretend that Matthew is in some critical condition or something, so she comes back out of fear that she will never see him again."
"So then when she comes back, he's perfectly fine?" Johnson clarified. Hayes nodded. "Hell to the no. That would piss her off." It really would.
"Well I'm just trying to come up with ideas while you people mope around and give up." Hayes was right. We need to take some action.
"Okay. So let's come up with a better plan."
"Oh, can we call it Plan A.D, you know since her name is Ala Daus-." Hayes jumped up and down excited to name the plan.
"We get it Hayes." Nash scolded. "And we don't care what you call it. We just have to get her back."
