Part 4:
Matthew's POV

"So what do you want?" I asked the mysterious man.
"I told you I'm a part of the case with Noah Hasher."
"So your a cop."
"I guess you could say that."
"I'm going to need some identification." He pulled out a wallet type thing and and opened it revealing a large badge indicating he was indeed an officer. "Thanks."
"We need some witnesses for his trial. And we're going to need Ala to testify."
"His trial? They might let him go?" I yelled.
"Look, they never had any proof when they showed up, no blood. Not even Ala." I shook my head in disbelief.
"He practically held her captive against her will. He threatened to kill her if she ever left him. He abused the hell out of her. And he attempted to murder her that night. And you just want to let him go because you had no blood evidence. That is fucked up. All the evidence you need is on her body, the bruises, the cuts, the scars. What more could you need."
"If he is let go. You could always file a restraining order."
"No he needs to be put away. Besides what makes you think Ala is going to volunteer to go there and see him, and talk about everything he did to her."
"We were hoping she would. If she were to even show up, his chances of being in jail, are a lot greater."
"I can't believe this. It shouldn't even be a question of whether to put him away." I was so angry I slammed my fist on the countertop. "So let me guess, he's pleading not guilty?" The man just nodded his head. I couldn't believe this. Noah was the guiltiest person ever. "Look, thanks for the warning. I'm going to need time to talk about this with her."
"Okay, the trial date isn't set yet. I'm going to need your number in order to contact you."
"Okay..." I told him my number and he left. After rubbing my hands down my face I leant on the wall sighing trying to come up with some way to tell Ala without scaring her to death.
"Oh my god! Young man you're not aloud in here!" A lady yelled walking into the bathroom. I'd forgotten I was even in a bathroom, let alone the girls.
"Sorry." I muttered and walked out. Ala was no longer sitting outside, so I knew Carter must have gotten her. I pulled out my phone and called Carter hoping he could come get me as well.
"Hey Matt. I got Ala." He informed.
"Okay, do you think you could come get me too?" I asked hopeful.
"I dont know Ala is pretty spooked about whatever happened. I got her to lay down and sleep but she is clutching onto my shirt pretty firmly." He explained and I knew I couldn't take him away from her.
"Where are you? I can get a cab." I said.
"We're at the venue now. I'll send Ryan over with the car though, don't worry about a cab."
"Okay, I'll be here." We hung up and I sat waiting anxiously. I knew I had to think of some way to break this to Ala. I was positive she wouldn't take it easy. I'd have to wait till later tonight to tell her, when we're in our hotels.
"Matt!" I heard my name being called. I turned to the sound and saw Ryan standing with the car. All that was on my mind was how Ala would react. The things she's had to go through this summer is connected with an indescribable pain that I'm sure she's feeling. And the fact that I have to go break the news to her that Noah may be let out to roam free in the world. To come back and try to hurt her again. It breaks my heart. If only I would've tried harder when we were together, she would've never broken up with me, never would've met Noah. And it's my biggest regret, not treating her right, hurting her, multiple times. We went to the venue and I saw Ala, the gorgeous human being she is laughing, and having to think about the fact that I could turn her smile into tears so quickly only makes me more upset. But it's not like I can hide this from her.
"Hi Matt." Crawford smiled walking up to me. "You okay?" He asked.
"Yeah." I sighed.
"So, I heard you flew Caroline out to see the show." Shit, I forgot about that. I have too many things to think about. And although I know I should be thinking about Caroline and the way I really like her. All I can think about is Ala and the way I really love her. I need to stop this madness. She doesn't love me back anymore, she's made that very evident. "The bouncer said she's waiting out front." He told me.
"Kay, thanks." I told him pulling out my phone while I made my way to the front. I had four missed calls, and eight texts from Caroline. Obviously getting antsy about the fact that the show starts in five minutes and I haven't come to get her. I felt bad so I walked a lot quicker and ended up running. Running out of the main doors where thousands of fans were waiting to be let in. The minute they saw me they erupted and went crazy. I waved here and there while searching the crowd for Caroline, I knew she would stand out, she always does. I just need to find where she is. Finally I looked down the platform I was on, I realized this wasn't the doors the fans come in they were a short jump down. Finally I saw the bouncer holding the wrist of a blonde girl, my blonde girl. Caroline Bruner.
"Dave!" I called to the large man keeping everyone out. Everyone was still screaming and yelling at me, begging for my attention. Caroline turned as well as Dave. Her face had that 'it's about time' expression. Dave was replaced with another guy, Roger. He led Caroline over to the platform.
"I'll just hand her up to you man." Dave told me. And I know I would get a lot of questions for this from fans on Twitter, but it was the only way. Dave lifted her up onto his shoulders, she looked incredibly nervous and obviously didn't trust either of us enough, but I wouldn't let her fall. He instructed her to stand on his shoulders she nodded biting her lip, a habit I noticed of hers when she's nervous. I smiled at her as I lifted her over the railing and onto the platform, she sighed.
"I'm glad I wore pants, or else Dave might've seen the down under." She joked. I laughed and hugged her. The fans erupted even more yelling multiple things. Some being harmful to Caroline's self confidence, but she pretended like she didn't hear them and walked in the building with me. "So I get to meet everyone?" She asked turning and walking backwards to face me. I grabbed her hand and nodded. We finally reached the break room where everyone was still lounging. I whistled to get all of their attention. Everyone looked surprised when they saw me standing with a beautiful blonde girl who was well out of my league. But it seems that everyone I've dated was well out of my league: Dylan Francis, Ala Dausonn, Bailey Westwood, and now Caroline Bruner, once I asked her out.
"Everyone this is Caroline." I introduced her, she waved a glowing smile vibrant on her face. "Caroline, this is everyone." I pointed.
"How come they get to know my name but I don't get to know theirs?" She asked raising an eyebrow.
"Because babe, I'm only going to tell you the names of the people that matter." I smirked.
"Hey my little butterflies, you all matter." Taylor intervened, pretending to be hurt by my words.
I started at one corner of the room and planned on just wrapping around.
"Well, this is my brother Ryan, he's way older than all of us." I introduced him as he stood to shake her hand.
"Hi." He smiled, she smiled back and returned his hi.
"Next is Carter, my brother from another mother." Carter stood and shook Caroline's hand.
"Word of advice Matt's nickname is Daddy Matty, so you can just call him that whenever you guys are like hav-."
"Carter McCoy Reynolds sit down before you get smacked." Ala warned him. I laughed at her.
"What I'm just trying to help a brother out." Carter defended sitting back down.
"Respect dude." I told him giving him a peace sign. I moved on while Caroline tried not to laugh at how weird we all were.
"And here we have Crawford Collins, Chris Collins, and Kirsten Collins." I introduced the family and they all shook her hand.
"This is Jake, aka Foush, Daniel, Taylor, Aaron, and Dillon." They all shook her hand and we got to the last person, my particular favorite. "And lastly Ala." I introduced as she stood to take Caroline's hand.
"Ala Dausonn." Caroline stated.
"Correct." Ala smiled.
"So you're the ex girlfriend?" Caroline asked.
"That indeed Caroline but don't be fooled, that's not all that defines me." I laughed at Ala and her strange sense of greeting people.
"I don't have to be worried or anything right?" Caroline asked nervously.
"Oh god no, that is over and done with." Ala looked over at me and locked are gazes. "Right Matthew?" She asked still not breaking the lock on our cold, rock solid glance.
"Right. We're just good friends now." I said still not able to look away. Finally Ala did and I wanted to gasp for air, it was like being held under water.
"Okay." Caroline smiled grabbing ahold of my arm.
"Everyone the show starts in two minutes." The stage manager informed us. We all made our way out, Caroline still having a hold on my arm. I showed Caroline where she could sit backstage while I was on stage. She took her seat and smiled at me. I gave her a kiss on the forehead before retrieving my microphone and heading on stage. I looked back at her a couple of times while we all introduced ourselves to the crowd. She smiled at me every time seeming like she enjoyed herself. It only made me happier. Finally Daniel was performing so I got to sit backstage. I sat in the floor in front of Caroline, everyone else sat further away but I didn't mind.
"Caroline?" I finally mustered up enough courage to ask her on a date, like Ala had told me to do.
"Yes Matthew?" She responded.
"Would you maybe wanna go on a date with me tonight?" She smiled.
"Finally, it's about time!" She squealed and hugged me.
"Sorry for waiting so long to ask." I apologized.
"It's okay, our late night hang outs were fun." She winked. I knew exactly what she meant.
"Oh yeah." I smiled. "I mean, after the date we could, hangout a little bit." If you haven't caught on yet, hanging out, means sex. (A/N NETFLIX AND CHILL)
"I would be totally okay with that. As long as you promise to arrange a perfect date."
"I promise."
